The Graveyard

thought you lot may like to see this old girl been off the road since 1991 but last ran 5 years ago when parked up where it is in the pics.
just managed to save the old girl from the gas axe as when spoken to the owner he told me i can have it and is going to be dilevering it to me next week for restoration ( will be my first go at restoring ) its got a 14L BIG CAM ■■■■■■■ engine (250hp i think?) and a 9 speed fullers gear box  cant wait to get started and also all the spear parts i could ever need ( other then a diesel tanks :frowning: )

any advice or if any one know any real probolem arieas please let me know  as any advice or help welcombe

I admire you for taking on this project mate, I wish I had the skills to do something like it,and the only advice I could possibly give is; take plenty of photos. Regards Haddy.

You are going to be one busy chap!
A bottle of T-cut & it’ll look like new.

Love seeing these old girls resting over here instead of having a hard life after going for export…
Makes me wonder how many classics will be left in a few years.

well i have now also been offered a DAF 2800 6x4 unit but with no engine and gear box

Go for the DAF too. You’ll need something to do next week when you finish the ERF.
Honestly though mate, good luck to you - I wish I had the space and equipment to tackle something like that. Post plenty of Photos to keep us envious. Jim

The DAF with no engine and box could throw up an interesting project - Drop a 510bhp XF105 engine in?

attachment]Found this Diamond of an F86 today, couldn’t get the reg, there was a big box on a pallet in front of it making it difficult to get a good pic, so I moved the box and lifted the pallet only to disturb a wasps nest :open_mouth: .
I’ll have you know these pics cost me 1 sting to the head & 3 to the legs  !
But it was worth it :sunglasses:
