The G88s were the ones with set-forward front axles, I thought… Robert

yes you are right Robert, something to do with vehicle length restrictions as I recall.

Hiya i shared day cab at A T Richardson,s… Bulmer,s cider had some on trunk. i don’t think the length was a issue with day cab.
i can say the day cab was more expensive than the sleeper because they was one off’s. at Volvo the sleeper was a standard cab.
the lorry around Leicester could have been the one i drove we did concrete around the Leicester area loading back from
Peterborough. if we was on tipper work out of Burton brewery,s the last load we did was back from Mount Sorrel to
Hulland Ward… Richardson,s was green and red identical to the one in the photo infact i thought it was the same lorry
i think ours was GBE…N it was new from John Hebb,s at Alferton.

Hiya this one i drove for years. it was sold to Robert Walker at Woodley, he must have put a diff in her. a chap called Keith the thief
also on TN got hold of her and run to turkey for a couple of years, he then Exported her. she was the first spacecab in the UK
notice how short she is.she didn’t go straight on the road new she was at a few shows first. i should have bought her,
she was only £750,to me.
