Hello.
And i thought it was only me being silly, when i saw an old lorry in the corner of a yard waiting for the call which will never come again. Very sad, drivers would fight over them when they came new into the yard, and now they just stand and wait.

I pass them all the time, bin meaning to go in and take a look and a pic, nice to see what they look like from the front, as you can only see the back of them from the road…
That pile of cabs looks interesting too wouldn’t mind some bits of them .
Still as able… Ish !
When I see all these old pictures of old motors parked up & left to rot, It seems to me that the owners of these fine old motors must have had plenty of money in those days, Because when I started as an owner drive, I sold my first motor to assist buying the next on then I did the same thing when I bought my third one, I must admit I made a very good living out of the haulage game & managed to salt a few pennies away for my retirement, Which Im enjoying to-day and many more to come I hope, Regards Larry.

These look like the old ■■■■■ Brothers Draycott Transport at Draycott in the Clay - am I right, and are they still there? I thought that their yard was taken over by a crane hire company, whose name escapes me at the mo!

Yes, yes and no -
There is a business or two in the units there but the trucks are still in the yard in the weeds…
