All i know is we have a driver who lives 5 minutes from their place in Bridgend but it works out he’s better off driving to Avonmouth everyday which is about an hour away plus bridge tolls so make of that what you will, but they do have good kit.

The rates of pay in South Wales are crap hence the reason I work away.

Likewise be it a bit further west.

The pay in South Wales is about the lowest in the country, get a motorbike (no bridge toll) and work in Avonmouth where work is fairly easy to come by and pays considerably more.

heard along the grapevine that they have lost a lot of work due to the alberto contract going over sea… and owens have taken a lot of them also… :S

Your full of crap alberto have gone to Port Sunlight, Owens havent taken a single piece of work off them.

I thought they not too bad , rarely advertise jobs. They seem to be busy, taking on at the moment.

Do they still do some Finland and Denmark work and some Swedish work too?

I have worked for tdw on both UK and european, they are not a bad firm to work for. They can push a bit but as long as you are polite and not rude if you cant gettto your drop on time then all is forgiven. Did mostly Germany for them but didn’t get the chance to do Scandinavia as my misses didn’t want me away at the time, I would say anyone interested then to go see them and show your willing to do the job and if wanting euro work then be prepared to be away at least 3 weeks.

Suggest you read the rules on here regarding publishing rumour, hearsay and rest room bull manure - if you don’t know for a fact and haven’t got evidential proof then don’t post it.

And if you do believe everything you hear, then I have next weeks winning lottery ticket for sale , 10 grand in used notes and you can have it

Think they’re in Bridgend, on the estate where the Ford engine plant is (Waterton?).

moneys in the post

trust me dont work for tdw, i did for 9 years left last may coz had enough, the pay is ■■■■ £6.12 an hour tramping an two pay rises in 9 years, in the old days in ammanford they were a decent company, then they moved to bridgend an they went downhill fast, the office staff are clueless back stabbing nob heads who treat there drivers like ■■■■, you can be the best driver there an they will still sack you at the drop of a hat, since the old man retired the two idiot sons took over an these two braindead idiots havnt a clue wot there doing an dont seem to care, an unless you like taking steel coils from a to b and doing return loads from tilbury to chepstow on a near daily basis the work is crap, nearly all 1 hitters an a struggle to get any form of overtime, and yes, owens did take some of there contracts one large one an one not so large wont mention any names, alberto culver i think has now gone up to port sunlight which was a hell of a lot of work but has now gone, trust me don`t work for this company coz they will destroy your faith in the job and ruin your heath.

I’m still waiting to hear an up to date pay rate…any takers?
