Got these today when I called in to see Steve at his yard.

Great photos John keep them coming, Regards Larry.

Never get enough of looking at the old Scammell Tankers

Always look good in fresh paint  , & they were painted properly, not like ours when they come the paint is that thin you blow on it & you’re through to the primer :open_mouth: , bloody things are going rusty inside 3 months of being on the road :unamused: .

I like this

Don’t know them, just like the wagon

A quick google for NMU dosent come up with anything much from the age, Northern Motors Utilities, no idea what they carried or where they were based although It does seem to have some sophisticated temprature control unit with gauges and switches mounted on the front of the tank and what looks like a side mounted donkey engine

cemex

Nice tank, with a MAN on the front :unamused: . Wouldn’t it be better if it had a ERF/FODEN/BEDFORD/LEYLAND etc pulling it

There’s a thread on here about NMU Sniffy but I do know they did a lot of work for Rowntrees of York so maybe there is some product of their’s in the tank.
