Because I’ve got a functioning brain unlike you I examined the situation it occurred in - top of an exposed hill travelling at right angles to the direction of the wind. And because I would be travelling all but 2 miles of the remaining journey with the wind behind me and those 2 remaining miles being far less exposed, I continued on dropping my speed down to 40-45MPH for those 2 miles I thought may be an issue.
Its because I have the ability to think and analyse things that I earn the big bucks and have people calling me to drive for them to the point I can pick and choose who I work for and when whilst you sit there either twiddling your thumbs waiting for the phone to ring or working for wages that were crap 10 years ago in some crap job because you know its all you’re worth and you’d be on the dole if you left.

I know we are only having a laugh, admittedly at Conor’s expense ( mostly because of the old ‘nobody likes a smartarse’ adage 
) but you see it time and time again on here somebody innocently posts and it backfires on them, either as this one did or when they get the opposite perceived reaction so get upset. 
If it was me (yeh, I know Contraflow it will be one day, but I’ll be careful ) I would more than likely laugh it off with ‘Fair enough lads, OK, you got me’ or words to that effect. But instead they come back with the retaliation, abuse and personal attacks resulting in a self induced ■■■■ storm being brought down around their lugs.
On the other hand, it IS entertaining.

I thought it would go one of two ways; he’d either ignore it and not respond… or he’d come back and completely lose it.
I’m glad he went the way he did, but I thought somebody of his (alleged) intelligence would choose the other way.
