Panalpina , Bradford had one.
It ran for about 2 years and was nothing but trouble.
the final straw was the gearbox packing up and it was then “disposed of” and replaced with a Scania 110.

i remember that issue and that truck. it would seem the F700 was a popular truck back then with a lot of hauliers and o/d "s…
i remember seeing a lot of spanish macks around at the time…olloquigui and san jose spring to mind…
in my opinion they had character, they were different.
i wish i had one now,
there should be an old english mack thread on here i think.
Chris Hodge lent me a picture of this.
When I did a search for Spanish Dodge I came up with an interesting way of defrauding the taxman

bestbooties:
Must have been the smallest sleeper cab going.
On my first M/E trip, when we were transiting Germany on the train, two brothers,(twins), turned up in one with a Hatcher top tank,(as had quite a few of us).Unfortunately, they had not checked the clearances before leaving home, and when driving up the ramp onto the train, the front of the trailer crushed the top tank, diesel everywhere.
They played hell about it and said they shouldn’t have to design their truck around somebody’s train!.
Never saw them again, and I can’t recall ever seeing an English registered one on M/E again either.
Could these be the 2 who traded as Troll Trucking or Troll Transport?
The most unlikely pair you would ever imagine to be in any kind of business. A sort of cross between Bill and Ben and Worzel Gummidge
A U.K. vehicle from Southampton. K3820P
That MUST be the worst combination of all,a Spanish Dodge AND a 4 in line trailer!

Forget the name now,it was a long time ago.
I was on my first M/E trip as were they, but they gave everyone the impression they knew it all,but their behaviour said different, even myself as a M/E virgin thought these guys can’t be for real.
Is it a coincidence that you never see these two together in the same room?
Rayner’s Transport from Maddingley near Cambridge ran quite a big fleet of them on bulk tipper work.
Has anyone got any pics of them?

Was that the same Thomas that had the sand pits at Baginton, he had 3 Thames Traders and an old tractor to load them, we used to go over there as kids and help out in the late 50’s /60’s, he moved when it became a landfill I think.
