Another South Wales truck in model form, 1/32nd scale this time.
hi neil,
full marks m8
regards andrew.
Nice job there Neil. Back in the early 90ās drove a 4x2 or single axle as they are called here (drive). Had it on hire until a new White /GMC Volvo arrived. What a piece of junk that R series Mack was, antiquated would be an understatement. An A series ERF was like a Rolls Royce compared to it lol.
Regards Paul, ps anyone have photos from Pembry?
Rydian and arron in their younger days

Hi Andrew, this was a brand new import I bought off my pal M.Woodhouse Snr. in (IIRC) early '80 Iād just washed it off on the Saturday lunch time when Iād got it,and prior to me transfering my own number DES 54 on to it.The car was a 450SLC and was āfully loadedā .When I took it to my local dealer(who I bought all our mercs off at that time) for first service they demanded to know where Iād got it from!(as I donāt want to up-set the mod again!) I āpolitelyā told them to Foxtrot Oscar as it was British spec and legal!! I would say that it was the best Merc I ever ran, what a tool!!! I know it was 30 years + ago but it was a car and a half even by to-days standards!! The colour was Gun Metal Grey by the way!! Cheers Dennis.

Thanks for that Dave, you learn something everyday, but the car had passed through āchannelsā before I aquired it! but it was brand new all the same.I once bought a Toyota diesel 2 wheel drive pick-up that came via Eire (Y reg) and when it wanted an exhaust system our local dealer couldnāt help as he said this model wasnāt supplied in the UK!!! I went to a local independant tyre and exhaust supplier who had a look then disappeared into his store and came back with what turned out to be a full system of IIRC a 1972 Cressida that fitted perfectly!!! Cheers Dennis.
