Looking at the lettering possibly done with a small hand size grinder. Some of the tools are similar to those used by a dentist, to create such detail.
This is a one off sculpture, probably copied from a drawing or photo. Must admit it is perfect.
Andrew, I would think a large number of the same design could be done on a cnc milling machine for use at various themed functions, and the template being used many times would reduce the cost. Come to think of it with computer aided drafting they can produce detailed drawings of anything. Castles and animals nice, lorries superb.

hi paul,
a good mate of mine is in the timber business.they have a large building full of the latest cnc timber moulders and sanders.when i had my f88 11 years ago,he machined (in minutes) two hardwood steps that we primed and sprayed matt black, they mount on the wing below the bottom of the doors.what ever event i went too in that truck people would tap them and quiz me as to where i got them from.the originals were alloy coated rubber and not available from volvo.more recently my new stainless steel dash was laser cut in a similar way,in seconds.in the old days you would need to see an expert timber/steel machinist, now a teenager that can programme a cnc machine gets the same result in seconds
.
regards andrew.

That was a massive improvement when they opened the Carmarthen bypass Andrew.I can remember the traffic queued back for miles because of the bottlenecks in the town especially when the holiday season.
Cheers Dave.
