joint’s driver peter morgan was lucky not to have been injured after this accident tipping pellets in south cornelly quarry 1988.lucky he didn’t have the usual dog’s and chains and jack that driver’s used to have on the passenger’s floor in those days.

Hi Andrew,
Have you or any of the other South Wales contributers to this thread, got any pictures of Morgans of Cwm.
Cheers Dave.

regards andrew
sorry still trying to get the hang of this posting the photos, thanks for the tips last night ,i`ll get there.A few oldies from west midland farmers hereford.
Once again more great photos everyone. Andrew, nice shot of the HY-MAC 360 Excavator in Schilibiers yard. HY-MAC’S were built in my hometown of Rhymney,
heads of the valley. My family did a lot of the transport work there for many years, using transit vans through to 32t artics. Schilibiers had a nice livery, two tone blue with a white stripe mostly Leylands. I was thinking about Davies Bros the other day, there used to be a scrap yard on the same hill who also sold trucks, and by mistake I pulled into their yard. Your take on their paint jobs was spot on,and I remember loading coal down Seven Sisters way, and one of their Deutz’ s tried to get over the tracks ahead of the train, but didn’t make it and got modified well and proper. As Dave said they did something right and
made some decent money.
Tony,I remember Sargents Foden with the sleeper cab, done a few loads of hot roll out of A.R.C. Ynysabwl to the Rhondda one summer, can’t remember the
drivers name though.
Cheers Paul
