Hi all, chris,i think the odd looking erf you mention is k965 KMB,when CT first had it,it was a prototype for the EC series and did not have any ERF badges,i remember it going back to rjchard reads to have the EC series bumper and grille fitted if i remember right.

the strato belonged to dai woodruff, james crankton had a 4 wheeler strato

Thanks for your input mike,i remember Dai Woodruff on carline in carline colours,
and i can remember james"s strato when richie the rabbi and phil oakham were on the seen,
pete 359 can you remember that odd looking ERF that cardiff transport run? cheers chris.

I think that ERF was the EC demonstrator . It had no visible badges of identity and arrived on a K plate and registered in cheshire . I wonder if any one has a pic regards kk

My dad said that the ERF was a demonstrator

On the odd Saturday Iā€™d meet with John Paul and Peter ā€œPJā€ Kershaw at 4am and the 3 off us would run up to the Midlands for Phil & Anthony Escott. Iā€™ve got the sheets off ready to be tipped at Marcegaglia, Nertherton Dudley steel site 6.20am on a beautiful June summers day

Nice magnum Ade, John paul was at mine today for a chat, ill have to get him on here.

Thats him, he worked at Walls after WT Smith, then Sims. Hes full time at CO OP now though. I beleive he drove for Cardiff international and John Evans before all that. Iā€™ll let him now hes been imortalized on here, . Sadly I canā€™t see him joining up himself though.

I remember him having a black, 113 360 for WT Smith, 6x2 rear lift with air kit and stainless steel front bumper, and of course his Bedford Rascal van which ā€˜they never brought out as a tractor unitā€™
Neil.

Neil, great line that made me smile. I saw Dave one day and he was telling me his troubles. The now world famous Rascal van would not fire up and start despite every effort known to mankind and was now stubbornly stuck in Daveā€™s garage. ā€œIā€™ve even put down some Wynnā€™s in a saucer on my driveway to try and entice it outā€ he quipped. You may have to know him to find it funny.

hiya,
Love those Cardiff Transport motors, not over the top with ā€œembellishmentsā€ and a cracking livery they look the part proper workhorses.
thanks harry long retired.

I think they were, the Escotts had 712 to 715 and they all came from Ronnie Counsell at Englands/Renault Penarth Road.
