i had that truck before dave… seen him a few month back taking scrap into sims metals newport… nice guy…
we used to pull castle services trailers to germany…

Thats him, he worked at Walls after WT Smith, then Sims. Hes full time at CO OP now though. I beleive he drove for Cardiff international and John Evans before all that. I’ll let him now hes been imortalized on here, . Sadly I can’t see him joining up himself though.

I remember him having a black, 113 360 for WT Smith, 6x2 rear lift with air kit and stainless steel front bumper, and of course his Bedford Rascal van which ‘they never brought out as a tractor unit’
Neil.

Truck of the year 1977, I drove a few SA back in the day, loved the ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ but didn’t like the Gardner/David Brown. Two things I do remember annoying me was the ■■■■ poor lock and the silly window frame at the top of the door, I was always having to look over or under it, nice truck otherwise.
Regards Pete.

Long live B52 YTH. Hey Andrew I would love to see her in her original colour, I believe you have a picture with Roy at the wheel. Thanks again mate. Check out my album too.

Looks new but I think the reg is from East Anglia. Cheers Phil.

My dad drove the black 3 series for terry also, before having a m.a.n called lady Jo, all his trucks were named, the black 3 series was called ‘jennie’, terry had a big photo of her going over the suspension bridge in Newport, anyone have anymore photos of wt Smith??

I think that ERF was the EC demonstrator . It had no visible badges of identity and arrived on a K plate and registered in cheshire . I wonder if any one has a pic regards kk

Does anyone have any shots from Cardiff Transport’s days on ferry road (Cardiff) ? Bernard perhaps!
As it happens I was out with a Caerdiff boy tonight in Orlando. I have seen him around before, turns out he lives 5 minutes from me. Its a small world. Had a good laugh though. Can’t beat Welsh humour.
Regards to all,
Paul
