Hi Graham, and Mark how on earth are you supposed to get any work done with rules and regulations like that.

I believe that truck is still around with the same gear on it. It belonged to WT Smith in Newport for a while [late 90’s>] , I think I last saw it for sale in the South West somewhere.
Neil.
Enjoyed a good weekend with great weather at Truckfest south west, talked to a few trucknet members there and even saw EC14 on the Severn bridge coming home from another event.
Meeting up with Dai Echo and family to run down.
A South Wales line up.
Some more Welsh trucks at the show.
This Freightliner was based in Newport for about 20 years but has recently gone to a new owner over the bridge in Somerset.
Hello all, mechanic77, that Freightliner has an AEC front axle, put under it in Upper Church Village, if I am not mistaken!! Cheerio.
That sounds about right Saviem, and if we are getting into it the axle along with the Holmes twin boom on the back came off Howells of Cardiffs AEC wrecker.
missed me mechanic 77 i was there to with my mates scania i borrowed for the weekend
Andy Kings DAF he was an ex Cadwallader driver and owner driver he has promised me some pictures to go on

I wonder if Andy King is related to a great man and a good old mate of mine, big Steve King RIP know to some as Big S who drove for Cadwallader ( the South Wales tipper operator ) as I know there were a couple of Cadwalladers running in Wales.
Komatsu 450, well done you got a few Welsh trucks that I didn’t. Hope you had a good weekend there too.
