Here’s a couple of some I used to run,the top one was A 70 EGV i think ?
Regards
Richard
That one in the first picture has a “dummy” stack on it, i remember Roy Grahams old F12 having a “dummy” stack on it years ago, to look like it had twins.
Was this a popular thing to do in the 80s?. If so why?.

The ‘dummy stack’ was a replacement for the air stack, the end was blanked off, but they had vent slits further back if you look carefully

I knew a couple of lads that worked for Tim Muskett. John Riley from Sandbach and Peter Eaves from Warrington. They did quite a bit of work for Whitbreads IIRC and I think they ran some tankers for them (very heavy by all accounts) They always seemed to have decent tackle for the job though and apparently Musketts paid not bad money at the time.

John did tell me he spent some time at Bettleys, I think he drove the Foden Paccar parts truck in the end (he likes to go sailing these days and last time I chatted to him on FB he was driving for Gist at Crewe)
Borrowed the first off another site, but it belonged to my mate Neil Barrett from Lowestoft.
Neil drives taxis & cleans ovens now, makes better money !!!
I was talking to a mate of mine about the NBH Daf the other week. It used to park up in the same yard as my dad used. I always thought it looked like a proper truck when compared to my dad’s FL7 and Leyland bison.
Colin Atwell was the regular driver on the Daf, “Fruit Machine” belonging to Cyril Knowles out of West Thurock. He ran twice a week from Newcastle to Milan, couldent do that with the new recording devices they have these days. The Jag was mine. Anybody working for Andres in Dornoch?? You may know her, say hello for me, its been a few years but would love to reconnect with her
