Indeed it is, but why 'Leyland DAF on the roof? Was it hauling parts?

At a guess I would imagine that this may well have been a demostrator truck.Dont think the under bumper with fitted spots was standard and that paint job was DAFS promotional colours.

Im sure wheelnut will put us right as Dafs seem to be his thing!! :wink: :wink: Great looking truck and one of the best truck cabs ever made.

Hiya…the spots are correct the cab was tops for me. some drivers said they had to stoop there backs to see under the low windscreen…on the good side the small screen did’nt let in to much sunlight … the steering wheel was twooooo big
and was to flat but a good alround truck, it would look better with the DAF sunvisor…

Well done that man. A very positive step to move to Yorkshire, though you could have completed the journey and ran a few more kliks, up the road to North Yorkshire. I did 42 years ago. :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

I took the picture at truckfest in 1987 on the Daf stand i have somewwhere if i can find it a Leyland Roadtrain painted in the same colours that was parked next to it

Daf 3300 loaded from Ireland pulling for Interland Transport
