DAF with a difference…
Spotted this a few weeks back at TurboTrucks in Brussels.
i would love to have a drive in an old 3300 or 3600!
thank you very much a brillant selection of some very good vehicles
from begining to end.
That old 2800 on the lowloader looks like an old warhorse.
Has anyone got any photos of John Eddoms fleet of spacecabs?
Euromat,
I posted a thread earlier this year about EST, so I loved the first pic.

The rusty one with the low loader has what looks like Debach Enterprises colours, but I’m not sure they were around in those days?
Keep em coming!!!

im a big fan of est too, i have a poster of one of their volvos which i got off their website last year
the shunter daf is located at tarmacs depot just off the m5 down the west country (cant remember where the place is now!)
here you go corcheela, a few more from my archives…
i would love to find out some more info/pictures on these first two trucks, surely someone on here can help?..
I’m pretty sure as a youngster I sat in the cab of that Harpers DAF at a show in Christchurch Park in Ipswich years ago…
That Pickfords DAF reminds of the 1900 I was a porter on a couple of times with White & Co (never did get a regular driver!!)…
The Visbeen one used to come over without the pup. I used to shunt it in the UK with fruit & flowers. The DeRooy was the last truck that DeRooy raced in the Dakar Rally. It overturned in the Sahara & killed DeRooys chief mechanic who was sleeping at the cab on the back end.Derooy never entered another race.( I worked there as well.)OOoops!! Its the earlier one with only one cab.
I think some one will recognize this one
Found it on the web so credit to who ever took the pic.
