Shropshire Hauliers,

Hello both , as promised another Woolley shot but as i mentioned not a particularly good one .
I do not think i have a shot of JUX 813E or CUX568C which according to the proprietors on my visit back in 1977 were ex Wem Breweries . My previous shot of CDB163C was ex Squirrel confectionery based in Stockport , and they also had ex Nestle Fodens as well as VUJ298J , an S39 cabbed Foden artic which they actually purchased new
bye now chepstowchap

JUX 813E was also new to Woolley’s and drove by Des Owen until he had VUJ 298J. The S39 had a 180 Gardner. JUX is still in existence. VUJ 298J was drowned whilst loading Tar. The S20 Nestle “chocolate” tanker is owned by John Sanderson from Sandbach. Another S20 (new to Woolley’s), 367 DLG, a 2 stroke tipper now lives at Carno.

Hello again the lorries behind the Foden was an Atkinson 4 wheeler 291FXB and another Foden YTE336D. The Atkinson was allegedly was ex North Thames gas board Brentford.

Cheers Dave.

Also renegade Dave the Albion and Dodge you mentioned were they purchased new with FO regs?

Hi KK,
I don’t think Ted Hardwick had any of his lorries brand new,the last on he had was a B series ERF,ex Richard Read I think, which Stuart Gough from Llandrindod Wells ran on the coal and bulk after Ted retired.I think Dennis Roberts had a new Bedford KM after a Seddon four wheeler which came after the Dodge, don’t think the Dodge was new.I think Ted had a six wheeler Thames Trader at one time, those blokes kept their lorries up to scratch and updated to newer lorries regularly.
Cheers Dave.

Once again thanks for trhat Dave . Didnt Brisbane have a Trader 6 wheel tipper I can remember aTK 6 wheel tipper they had . Come on chepstowchap what else havem you got ?

I drove for Brisbane’s,can’t remember them having aTK or Trader six wheeler. Roberts had a couple of six wheeler Thames Traders in the early 60’s.
Cheers Dave.
