Big Jon’s dad:
Being serious now:
Do you have Canadian citizenship?
Do you have a PR card?
Do you have a TWP?
Do you have a job offer from a company with a valid LMO?
If you can’t answer yes to one of the above questions, you can’t work in Canada.
Why you want to work in Canada is not relevant.
The route i will hopefully be taking is through the LMO scheme. This is how Elite, i am lead to beleave, work. At presant, i ams till sounding all this out. these quetions that you have asked are the ones i need to know about. I still need to get my police/criminal record and d v l a reports done. This is all stuff that is on going for me. oh, no, engrishhh is my ferstest langooidge lol.
If you want to ask questions, do so. You got off to a bad start by jumping in feet first and telling everyone how wonderful you are and rubbishing jobs other people here are doing.
You also come across as not having done any real research into going to Canada.
Another thing. Don’t post until you have read your own post through and removed spelling and punctuation mistakes. Use capital letters where they matter. (I not i, for starters)
One of the entry requirements to move to Canada is fluency in English or French. It is frowned upon to criticise grammar and spelling on these driver’s forums but is important if you want to get into Canada.
lol BJD ,na know only truckers french ,.beer,…how much missus?,etc…
SF ,nope i did my share of OTR driving when i came to canada with the rest of my scottish /uk countrymen and gave up my inferior qualifications and was reborn a canadian trucker (junior grade)…
and yup i do like to be home at nights in my own bed ,i drove a wagon from age 21—47 in uk, &3yrs in canada and think i deserve the time i spend with my family!
I think a person with your experience would fit in quite well with H&R transport in alberta.

LOL. You bad man Jimbo. Everyone knows H&R isn’t in NB
I can’t speak French either. I grew up in BC where we English speakers detested the Quebecois.
Rather like the Scot versus English in the UK.
Everyone knows H&R isn’t in NB
Nope but it is a short walk from there, and I think they are hiring right now from the UK. looking for drivers who can run for days without any down time.

I would have thought our new friend would have been better looking in NF. They like special people there, so he should feel right at home.
NF is an even shorter walk from his driving school of choice.

lol… bad girl
Where’s Mick Flynn when you need him?
OK, Mr wonderful “worked in the most challenging conditions” Solent Fox.
If you are not simply a troll, and I have real doubts, then answer me this. Are you aiming to be a driver trainer? that would be the only way that this company you mentioned would be able to hire you. And if that is the case then you need to pass another test after 3 years (I think) to be a trainer.
Then I would like to know what you call ‘challenging’ as I think we may differ here somehow. I think that this…
is challenging, as is this…
or this
Now I understand that, as a genuinely inferior expat brit truck driver, I would know nothing of challenges or trials.
Rob.slightly off topic but what has happened to the Duckman(NMM),been kidnapped while sunning himself in Mexico?
Rob thats an old single engine beaver on the road, now knowing how soft we have it was that meals on wheels delivering your lunch.
Mark is hiding at home I think… I keep trying to flog him my Explorer…
Shhh, Brentanna. If all the brits knew how cushy it was here they would all want to come…
Doesnt look like a BFS unit so I know it isnt you next dispatch being drlivered.
the white KW was one of Podulskys… To start with, I slipped off at the top of the hill,
then Gerry got stuck cos he didn’t just stay put and tried to back up…
The Poduskys driver turned up, tried to pull Gerry out but couldn’t… Then a grader pulled up, got me out then got stuck trying to get Gerry out, then I got stuck trying to pull the grader out, then another truck came along and pulled me out forwards, then he got stuck and we had to shovel, then a loader turned up and got wedged against the tree trying to pull the Podulsky truck out and we had to cut the tree down…
By then Gerry was about 15’ off the road and really in the cart…
Eventually, after about 9 hours, we managed to get this brought in…
And those things are awesome… It pulled Gerry so hard that the unit slid about 15 feet sideways then just popped out of the hole he had dug… It wasn’t quite that easy, we had to push a lot of snow and trees down then push Gerry backwards to start with, but what a machine!!
But there is nothing challenging about that, is there, Solent Fox? You could handle that without even thinking about it…
Oh, and the pic with the truck laying over… That was an ice bridge with a broken edge, and Gerry and I managed to dig it out, pull it level and just carry on… That far north, there ain’t no wreckers, Solent…

I’m back
Been too busy being exploited by my slave driving bosses for the last week to come and play on here
I’m of the opinion that our solent fox is talking from his tea towel holder in an attempt to stir things up a little, so here goes…
I’m making comparisons to that knob Drew on IRT who spent the first half hour of the show telling the world how good he was and then promptly went into the first ditch
However, you should never judge a book by its cover, so Mr Renard, assuming that you’re just playing around a bit, you may get better answers to your questions if you actually ask specific questions
I have no idea how things work in NB, I’ve heard horror stories though, especially about recruiting companies, I would suggest that you contact some companies out there, Midland and Clarke are usually advertising, as are Ayr Motor Express, although they don’t have the best reputation.
I would also suggest that you keep your modesty to yourself, otherwise, with all your experience, you’ll soon be number one at any firm you go to and you’ll get bored again and will have to go down under, now you’ve dominated Canada and the USA you’ll again become number one in a very short time and then you’ll have nowhere left to go when you get bored
Have you been drinking diplomacy juice, Mark? That wa saltogether far too nice to have come from you…
