well, i am looking for answers to questions. 1st i am looking at a company called Elite Driver Training Services ltd. run by an Alan Clowes, in New Brunswick.I have an application pack from this company and would like some opinions on this firm,for example, is there anyone out there who has used the services and is now working in canada as a truckie?? I am heading out to Toronto in the summer for a wedding and will hopefully meet mr clowes while there. according to the liturature, the company provide all that is required, ie driving test, immigration services and job placement, all at a price, of course. i just would like some feed back from others that have used these services.
Are you aware that Toronto is over 1000 km from NB? To obtain a driver’s licence you have to exchange your UK car licence for a provincial licence. You can’t do that until you can prove you are legally resident in that province. In other words more than a visitors visa. You will need something like a utility bill or bank statement with your address on as well as proof of residency status. Once you have obtained a local car drivers licence you can take the test for bigger vehicles. Job placement won’t work unless the company you are being placed with has a valid LMO.
If you don’t know what an LMO is yet, you haven’t done enough research. Come back when you have figured it out. LOL.
All this information i have, now i know that yer self and others enjoy to ridicule the likes of myself…it is so easy to disrispect people without knowing them. this media makes it all the more simple to do this, however i feel that it would be far more rewarding for all concerned if there was a little regard for others intelect, all be it in my case, only as a stupid english truckie. like i have said, i would not be an economic migrant, i would be there for the"crack". for here i am rather bored!!

I’m of the opinion that our solent fox is talking from his tea towel holder in an attempt to stir things up a little, so here goes…
I’m making comparisons to that knob Drew on IRT who spent the first half hour of the show telling the world how good he was and then promptly went into the first ditch 
However, you should never judge a book by its cover, so Mr Renard, assuming that you’re just playing around a bit, you may get better answers to your questions if you actually ask specific questions 
I have no idea how things work in NB, I’ve heard horror stories though, especially about recruiting companies, I would suggest that you contact some companies out there, Midland and Clarke are usually advertising, as are Ayr Motor Express, although they don’t have the best reputation.
I would also suggest that you keep your modesty to yourself, otherwise, with all your experience, you’ll soon be number one at any firm you go to and you’ll get bored again and will have to go down under, now you’ve dominated Canada and the USA you’ll again become number one in a very short time and then you’ll have nowhere left to go when you get bored

Glad to help, my feathers had remained firmly in place, so if you’re intending on being a wind up you’ll have to try a lot harder, with me at least, Brentanna gets a bit hormonal at times and the pooch has a case of distemper, but other than that you’ll find we’re a friendly bunch and if you do have genuine questions, no matter how silly they may seem just ask away, you may get the correct answer at some point, it could take a while though
