Jon ,also look on the SOFA page on Facebook ,you will see a lot of familiar faces there.

Come on nigel i am sure you can help Jon out with this one.

.

Yes, I can Geoff, I have referred him to the ex-GBE Facebook page also .Seeing Hotel Magnums post about Ray driving for Interoute I am surprised there is no mention here of Eddie Rodgers and George Eames ( whole weeks menu down his shirt !! ), and they also had a Portuguese driver who I think was called Lopez.

I can picture Eddie Rogers stood at the bar in Victors drinking Bacardi and coke,if he told me once how to find my reload in Hernani he told me six or seven times. When I tried to find it I was going round again when some young lads in a tiny fiat offered to take me there.I followed them back out on N1 and off again,I thought to myself they are going to run out of petrol if we dont get there soon but all was ok.I never bothered to ask Eddie for directions again.Happy days.

Here is one more of mine to get you back on front page Geoff.Close to Poole Ferndown commercials run by Ian Flay.

A nice picture of your trucks Cliff.I expect at times you wish you still had them, but not so many headaches nowadays only from vin rouge.

This is what you get if you don’t ship in and out of Poole.I hear you had a nice lunch last week with a few rascals.

Mick Price lived on a barge at Braunston then later in a house in Braunston, he now lives in Thailand

This one’s got a real Poole connection driven by John Vanadee no longer with us, and bought from Mark Compton.
