Scrapbook Memories (Part 1)

Telekonsteve:
Heres a couple ive managed to find off ebay, hope it doesnt upset anybody. Cant remember which thread but they’re oldies anyway. Spent many a day in these plants lorries when i was a lad, and worked for McCready when i left school, its the last Atki to be made, it started out as a tipper but some muppet had it over twice so hence the flat

What great shots the two Plants ERF’s are TKS!!! just as I remember them,a superb fleet!! Cheers Bewick.

Boatchaser:
So this is old photo from Cert Warrington this was our shuntter that the Transport Manager got i think from somewhere in the South . Anyone got any info on it , it still has its reg plates on it

Is it the Lucozade livery?

Cracking pics there Whiplash

Hi All,

Great photos whiplash, keep them coming, noticed in the photo of the Mack in Dover there is a Moorlock parked next to it.

Did you get a photo of it by any chance ?
or have you any of Comarts

Regards
Ant

At that length the FM at Parkestone Quay must be a dock shunter, Whiplash.

Reminds me of what I think the Yanks or Canucks call a camel - an extra load space on the tractor which in some extreme cases, like long distance removals, becomes a super living space.

Sorry Willie,no better picture of the Moorlock yoke,or indeed any Comart.Sorry.
Spardo,Can`t understand it,as it must surely have been overlength.Maybe he dropped the trailer at the port and went off to tip the unit?

not having much luck in the 43ers thread so can any one here spread any light on this nosed grill pannel on this 143 ?

They also did a nose job on a Scammell that ended up at Allelys. I’m sure it was just a locker for bits of kit.

Bits of kit stored in front of the radiator :unamused: IIRC it was for an oversized intercooler for heavy haulage because of low speeds they tended to overheat

Hello, heres a few more of my old pics.

This Borderer belonged to A.D.Hill of Bristol and is seen at a lorry auction about 30 years ago.

This was spotted on a trading estate near Newbury, not sure but it may be a “Raider”.

A 401 of F.J.Diment seen heading east on the M4.

Going the other way was this 300 Sed/Atk is B.J.Nelson of Norfolk.

Newparks ran a tidy fleet from their Wooton Bassett base.

Also at Wooton Bassett was this 1633 Merc of Blue Line, parked for the weekend.

Cheers Bubbs,

Hi again,Nathen I think youre correct,I went there with my pal Adrian Cypher and I didnt take a lot of notice cos he was driving
Ok heres todays selection.

One of Ades pics,a classic motor parked in Swindon.

Nice line up of Salop Haulage’s motors,EUX592V survives in preservation.
