Ditto.
Hope they please thee.

Telekonsteve:
Heres a couple ive managed to find off ebay, hope it doesnt upset anybody. Cant remember which thread but they’re oldies anyway. Spent many a day in these plants lorries when i was a lad, and worked for McCready when i left school, its the last Atki to be made, it started out as a tipper but some muppet had it over twice so hence the flat

And here it is before McCready took delivery:

bubbleman:

This was spotted on a trading estate near Newbury, not sure but it may be a “Raider”.

This was operated for a while by someone whose name escapes me, but was in Reading.

I remember it better when it was operated sometime in the mid 80s by Joan’s Van Transport of Darwen - I especially remember the time when it chucked off about half a load of metal pressings right outside my office window in Blackburn

It used to amuse me (it doesn’t take much :unamused: ) that a firm with “Van Transport” in its actual title should be running a flat…

Some great pics there Whiplash mate,I’ve seen quite a few of your pics on Irishrigs, com, you have some crackers.

I really like the Iggy Maddon pics mate,I’m always on the look out for photos of his early/mid 80’s stuff. Do you have any of his Scania 111’s,MAN’s,DAF’s or early F12’s please?

Where were your pics taken, is that the old yard in the Galway dock?

Here’s a few from me I was over that way a few years ago,I found a photo on the wall of the old fleet. They sure were tidy motors.

Cheers Jamie

So is the 143 Grille Panel homemade then?

Spardo:
At that length the FM at Parkestone Quay must be a dock shunter, Whiplash.

Reminds me of what I think the Yanks or Canucks call a camel - an extra load space on the tractor which in some extreme cases, like long distance removals, becomes a super living space.

it’s a Swedish unit with a drom box on it, additional loading space, still see a few of these around, surprising to see it in England though, not sure why it would come over, unless it was tipping in the docks then heading straight back.

Wheel Nut:
So is the 143 Grille Panel homemade then?

from what i gather yes it is to accomadate a bigger intercooler ,

next question , is she still working ?

bubbleman:

A nearly new Mole Valley Farmers 113 on the M4.

aw she was a real pig to manuver in small farms , but the regular driver Niel could seem to get it anywhere he wanted to go
when neil left she was sent to lifton where she worked out her day with all & sundry driving her , she was a bit of a state , but reliable as ever

here she is bubbs a few years back ,in 2008 on her last service with us , she’d just passed the million kms with us a few weeks before she was sold on
