Good grief, Trev’s gone over to the dark side. Someone stop him before he moves to Leatherhead!

Yeh, that was my intention, to drive it round Leatherhead air horns blasting, belching out black smoke, with oil leaking everywhere from the green grenade under the cab, I’d be a hero to the residents there!

hiya,
Proper driver Eh’ Trev, fine with me just so long as you don’t become
too Americanised and start referring to lorries as trucks.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hiya, heres a few dreadful clippings…all going yellow with age (s’pose I’d better chuck them out now) :frowning: ,Cheers Bubbs

Hi, Bubbs,
Seems like a good idea to chuck the old ones now you’ve got them digitalised (& hopefully backed-up) but I have to admit that there’s something about a page printed on proper paper.

Look yer, I might be old, but I’m not THAT old. I do mind old Caxton & his printing press- I thought it would never catch on. Put all them scribes out of work.

And stop leering at that young sheep.

Some old cuttings from around Derby from I think the Derby Evening Telegraph.
If they have been on before just ignore
Mike.

Hi Chris
Yes R.J.N what a fleet, lived in Cromford as a lad and one of our pastimes was watching some of them coming back down the Via Gellia loaded with rod from Manchester, they did’nt hang about.Seeing that trolley bus in the back ground brings back memories, trying to race them up St Peters St., towards the Spot when I were a lad  travelling passenger in the school holidays in the fifties, don’t think we ever won. :frowning:
The Good Old Days. Mike.

Anyone with interest in the trolleybus should visit the Black Country Museum. A chap I know has restored one to concors (?) condition and it is one of the working exhibits there - he has made an amazing job of it.
