By the looks of the shot Larry it looks like they’ve just finished delivering an hour or so ago,the geezer on the left has to support himself on the mudguard and the one on the right has a “red hooter” by the looks of it.Just a by the by,where I lived as a lad on Shap road in Kendal was near to the S&N garage and every day about 5 pm or so all the little ERF Drays returned and some of the drivers /draymen (don’t know which) were often the worse for wear, shouting and ■■■■■■ and blinding etc.But then at 6 pm opening time they were off home down into Kendal but straight into some of the boozers,Duttons/Whitbread,Vaux and S&N,it didn’t matter who’s brew it was they’d supp owt !! Cheers Dennis.

Hello again, heres todays offering,I found the first clipping and by coincidence its 10 years ago this week that local haulier to me J.E.Clark closed down…don’t time fly,I remember viewing and photographing the lorries prior to the auction…it doesn’t seem like 10 years,Cheers Bubbs,
Crazy to think they’ve been gone 10 years Bubbs, I passed their old yard last night and you could almost sense it all still going on there. Thanks for posting the picture mate & keep em coming please
