Depending on which bits I look at, the Ashoks have a look of a Cargo sleeper, a C40 Roadtrain and an Iveco Stralis.

I wonder if they’d get type approval over here??

the atki in the shed looks like hague transport,

like the restored 8 wheeler on the show scene.

A contrast in lorry sizes from years gone by.

Aye, it looked like Hague to me as well , but the old mince pies are getting hard up, even with glasses & a Mag/glass, the Reg on the O model Bedford , is difficult to read as well, Regards Larry.

These trailers are German made with multi axle steer the one in picture 5 is self propelled and remotely controlled.

Both vehicles in the picture are from Hagues - the Atkinson was indeed a sister motor to the vehicle William Hunter’s restored wagon depicts; it was part of the Hague Transport fleet which carried a red & royal crimson livery. The O-type Bedford was from the Harry Hague fleet, which carried a green livery. These were local vehicles, used frequently for vegetable deliveries to schools. In later years, Harry Hague specified Bedford TKs with petrol engines for this work, as they made less noise and created less disurbance at the schools.

I’m not sure whether DTD319 was sold on to Tichener & Brown from Blackpool, who Harry Hague helped build back up. The original VTC951 went there, and ended up in a builders merchants if what I was told is correct.
