Not long after the TRUCKERS series ended I came across this Merc cab next to a railway line in Shropshire,I’ve no idea why it was there but O’Brady were one of the ficticious companies featured in the show.

ATX 1J, The guy who drove it from new was tommy jackson.

Hello again Dai,
Here she is again at Winferton going north with a load of - “ends” from Metal Box . It was very unusual
there was only single wheels on rear axle. It was a Gardner 240. I remember Tommy Jackson — was he from the Leintwardine area ?.
–Hywel –

Hi Hywel,There was a driver from Leintwardine called ?Jackson who was killed in a lorry accident many years ago.Ironically his son Les Jackson also a lorry driver from Knighton was killed by a bee sting in the early 1990’s.
A chap from Bucknell John Davies drove for Gwynne Bowen for many years,he parked the lorry by the side of the Knighton to Leinwardine road.
Cheers Dave.

Hello again lads, nice old pic of Gwynne Bowens Foden,I think like the others that the rear wheel has been lost through paintshop…heres todays effort, nice bit of rope and sheet on the first pic,Cheers Bubbs,
