Maybe the photo is deceiving, the caption in the top shot said the Dodge is pulling a 34ft trailer, to me it looks like a 40ft spread axle ?
And what would the “de lux” trim consisted of . .
drivers seat, cab heater, 8 track stereo

That thought is possible and I have had containers on where the paperwork stated one weight but the weighbridge another . In this case IIRC it was a Butterbox I loaded and they were usually OK.
Another instance with trailer , as Dennis said ,in theory you could put 20t on the trailer bogie–i.e. 2 x10t axles. My learned gaffer told me to load a full weight box at the rear and deliver it. It was a wet day and when I got the box on all that truck would do was go in straight lines, I didn’t even get it off the dock . It had to be loaded at the back for reversing onto the loading bay at the customer,so we finished up transhipping it onto another shorter trailer.

Hello again Dai,
Here she is again at Winferton going north with a load of - “ends” from Metal Box . It was very unusual
there was only single wheels on rear axle. It was a Gardner 240. I remember Tommy Jackson — was he from the Leintwardine area ?.

I think you’ll find a bit of bad photoshopping with this one there’s no way this would have had single tyres on the back axle…And there not even super singles

Your spot on there “lemonmouth” with single 1100x22;5 wheels it would only have been a 6ton axle and overloaded everytime,so who would waste their time Photoshopping a fine shot of a rare motor like that ? an areosol no doubt!
