Well I’ve always wondered what a cut-down Dust-cart would look like I know we are supposed to be doing more re-cycling but this is ridiculous

Another Highlander a Guy of MacBraynes in Inverness. MacBraynes had a large fleet of buses/coaches, lorries, vans and boats. The only thing left of MacBraynes nowadays is the Mac in CalMac ferries (CaledonianMacBrayne).

You have to give the Orientals credit for pinching the best best bits of every marque. A quick glance and without looking at the badge, you see side panels (is it a DAF / Merc?) Chassis (is it a little ERF?) Front (is it a MAN / Renault?) Yep they’re pretty clever and its not a bad looking truck - don’t know how long it would last but they tend to be shut of in a couple of years these days anyway. Oh, and on the subject of that breadvan, remove the Merc badge and it becomes a Dennis
Hiya…never wanted to see japanisse trucks in the UK been a EX… ERF worker… but i must say
if they do with the trucks what they did with motorbikes…and cars you’ll not be breaking down very
often…i bet they could build a 8lxb that dosent smoke in a morning and has a good heater…

Rather rare motor. An Argyle built by Argyle Diesel and Elctronic Engineering of East Kilbride 1970 to 1973, a bitsa lorry Guy cab with Seddon front panel and no doubt a Gardner engine.

I think the model was the Argyle Christina
T.B
I feel sure that the Christina was fitted with a Perkins 6.354 engine oiltreader.
Pete.
Motor Panels cab, custom front panel (note the Saltaire…) and it was a Perkins engine IIRC.

Obviously a 240 Gardner
If as you say it had a Perkins in I think it would have been The V 8, Model, going off the spec, this would run at 24/32Tonnes The 6354 wouldnt qualify under the Power To weight Ratio Factor, Regards Larry
