It’s an ex Wincanton ERF on the front John,did they do any work for Phillips Petroleum,they worked for every bugger else.

Yes John it was one Stiller got secondhand, i used it for a number of years the two front pots used to leak into each other,they cut holes in to make them into one pot(9600 litres) you had to careful how you filled this one as the product did’nt flow over as fast as it pumped in,you’d not get away with this now with bottom loading or the safety side of things,the fleet no could of been 319.Vic.

Newcastle upon Tyne to London in 1923 with wagon & drag on solid tyres and maybe 10 to 12 tons gross weight,looks like a few nights out on that run and looks like 2 wheel brakeing as well,they must have been great drivers in them days.

Yes James Transport are still going, But the bad news today that the Alcan Smelter Plant at Lynemouth may close, may sadley to say could affect there operations, they do nearley all the work out of there, Regards Larry.
