The Norman Carr that you are refering to lives beside me at Ponteland, He worked at Mintos for donkeys years, I see him quite often myself at the local shows, The tractor stuff he has got is ACE, to say the least, great lad is old Norman, Regards Larry

This Fossway Photo of my grandad, outside C.A. Parsons, The building was rebuilt, and today is owned by J.R.Adams where my son Nigel works transporting dyes to & from Scotswood Rd, Vicers Pressings as it was called, now changed I belive, funny how things work out Nigel never new his great grandad, but he has most likley stood in the area as he did all those years ago, History in the making. Yes as far as I know he is, The last time I spoke to him was at Rickeby Park at Carlisle, he had his Road Roller there, Also he still has his S21 Foden 8wheeler Ex Salkelds 1962/3. . Regards Larry

Well you might remember Brian Houston now at Jakeys, he worked for Peter quite a long time he drove the S21 Foden when they first got it running out of Armstong Whitworths with castings, Regards Larry.

Newcastle upon Tyne to London in 1923 with wagon & drag on solid tyres and maybe 10 to 12 tons gross weight,looks like a few nights out on that run and looks like 2 wheel brakeing as well,they must have been great drivers in them days. :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

Yes I remember my old grandad telling me it a full week, but he drove steam traction engines before that so I must have been a bonus to get a wagon with a cab on, He moved on to Scammells as the years went on, some real classic motors, Regards Larry

yes i know brian very well, he started after my father they both worked at associated dairies sunderland before that, brian was always at our house, he has been at adams for quite a few year now , he left freeways when he moved back to dumfries then came back down and started for adams real nice fella, my father is called stan,
heres a photo of brian alan hodgeon and my father was taken about 26 year ago

Having started at page 1 and enjoyed them right through, all credit to bubbleman for getting it going and his continuing contributions along with others.
