Think Ian Cox was 1st owner Bill. then who knows…

I used to work next door to Paul and Adrian Bannon from Bannon and Ward

We had ROO 109W (The Black & Gold one) at Fieldings for a while.

Not for long though, Ronnie had a habit of selling them off quickly.

We also had an ex Rokold ROO for a while. I’ve a photo somewhere.

Ash, my mate used to drive for Trevor Starkes, he had one of the 141’s for a short time, but not sure which one. I think he had a Eurostar 1948 after, doing Greece and Poland. His name is Chris Goodwin. He would’ve been late 20’s when he worked for him (he’s my old school mate and best man).

Small world ay Brookie? I speak to Trev often, so I’ll ask him if he remembers Chris. Got loads of pics of Trev’s Iveco’s. When you nex speak to Chris ask him if he remembers what reg was. I might have apic

Ash Trevor had 3 141s and it was Trever who got me involved with the Turbostars he had one 420 on a Dreg to begin with.
I remember the D&W one they had a little yard in New barn Street and had 3 of them parked there at Plastow and a office in Prince Regent Lane
Near John Whelphys.Kenny Hoggers one used to sound the nuts with those stacks and used to see that a lot with Robsons Trailers on there seemed to be so many now you look with the Roo plate from Scantrucks Micky Youngs Roo was a ex Smith of Tring and not 100% sure but wasn’t
the Andys lory driven by or something to do with Coles of Banbury

I like the picture of the Defoy 141, my ole man used to work for them, but he had a red 110

Hi Ash, will doo, I’m sure the Scania he drove was the “T” plate one, but I’ll ask which Iveco he had. Not sure if he had a Merc too?

Regards,

Mark.

Dont remember a Merc I remember the KM the F88 Transcon F12 Globtrotters and the Turbostars

hi , anyone know anything about this one ? , is it stil about ? , how old is this pic and what docks is it at ? , cheers

That is Trevor Starkes’s if I’m not mistaken, The Evergreen and Hapag Lloyd boxes in the background suggest Thamesport

Gonna but in here but this truck i am sure used to belong to D S Walker of Pickering ,North Yorks. The island pic on the side gives it away.Mint truck in its day, sounded awsome pulling up the A64 off the roundabout towards Malton.

the reg would certainly suggest yorks.

This one is always a favourite too.

This is swedish history! ASG don`t exitst any more they are now DHL… So my neighbour had one just like that, the same color.but it was 62 not 42. He drow Sweden to norway After the 141 he bought a 142 6*2 it so cool!

Yes, the blue/yellow is so Swedish it can be and ASG as was a fully owned firm as had different owners as drowns for them and they did coloured them in two different colours. It was a rule from ASG. It was a common sight all over the country of these ASG Lorries. Now are they yellow coloured on all sides. But they have an advantage, they appears from long distance and yellow is a much secure colour for other drivers.

But yet, I don’t know why ASG sold to DHL, if it was a aggressive overtake or a affair discussed for long time.

The Scania as is preserved is beautiful and give one no chance forget ASG.

Thanks
Lars-Gunnar

It simple stands:

Scania has the cabin you wish to have.
A good word on the way out.

Did you guess what as stands on the ads? Not good.

Thank you
Lars-Gunnar as is a Scandinavian citizen
