Scania 140 / 141

Two classics’s from 1989 at Willenhall. Nigel Pitchford used this as a shunter at TIP ex Reg & Paul Brookes with a RS2000 Mark 2 ■■■■■■ lurking in the shadows.

PNV sounded beautiful going through the gears and had the red upholstered trim, too good for a yard shunter.

Lovely old truck , yard shunter? - i would have took that to the middle east !

That truck belongs to Janne from the town Hamburgsund on the west coast of sweden near the norwgan border,and is still drivning this truck every day :smiley: :smiley: :smiley: He is a man who likes the old trucks and he also have a lbs110 as a spare if this one breaks down :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

As Mr Ken rightly says; Indeed it is Trevor Starkes. Pic taken early 1990’s. The truck is no longer “with us”
This is the same 141 as SFH 710W - (it was re-registered) see pics below

Trev had 2 141’s. This was his first one which he bought in Holland looking like this;

Then had it resprayed in customers colours;

Then into his own colours;

Then…!

So he bought another 141 which he ran for a while then refurbished;

and I don’t just mean a quick respray! Oh no…i mean the works !

Turned out a real beauty! Posing with his mate Youngy.

He ran it all over Eastern Europe and deep into Russia! Here he is recovering one of his “poorly” Turbostars from Moscow;

And looking very much the part pulling for Solstor;

Keep an eye out for Truck & Driver MARCH 2012. There will be “something special” in that issue regarding one Trevor J Starkes :wink: :smiley:

Sorry hit the wrong number, I was always crap at maths (just stuck the hose in the tank & sucked the other end & let it flow, didn’t need to count how much, just let it go 'til someone came :smiling_imp: ) :blush:

Good on you Ash, lovely stuff !

Few more of my pics to keep this thread at the top; Just where the V8 should be :laughing:

One of my all time fave companies. Patricks had awesome looking kit! Way ahead of the rest in their era…

GVV 7N just collected brand new York trailer (strange canvas set up…)

GVV working hard; stripped and ready to tip in Novara Italy. Check out the “bow” in the trailer!

Even after Patrick’s sold her on, she still worked hard. D&W ran her to Spain every week.

Anyone recognise this one…(LB76? :wink: )
