JeffA:
Do you think the same about migrants in boats who need rescuing?
Well for a start I don’t make a forum thread wishing death on those illegal migrants coming here on boats the way you have towards these innocent people, and your only reason for this is they have wealth. And no I don’t wish harm or death on the migrants.
JeffA:
I have absolutely no doubt you and your tory pals
In 5 elections I have voted Tory once, so again just making incorrect accusations and assumptions because you personally despise capitalism.
JeffA:
Looks like the billionaires won’t pay a penny for their rescue - which will cost “many millions”.
You seriously think the families won’t be doing anything they possibly can financially to help find and rescue them? Please just stop with your narrative and hatred because they have money.
Why hasn’t this cringe worthy useless thread been locked or deleted
Next OP will be saying mountain rescue shouldn’t rescue any one who
JusT uses a mobile phone for hiking
Billionaires or not, stupid or not, …it must be shear hell down there for those guys, they are all experienced in this stuff in different ways apparentlly but I wonder how many of them are staying calm.
Sat there for days, in freezing cold conditions, black dark, in a tin box the size of a Transit van, condensation dripping on your head making the conditions not only cold but wet, the threat of the excessive pressure imploding the sub, presumably no toilet facilities with no way of getting rid of human waste, and worst of all very little air with the build up of carbon dioxide constantly.
Not nice conditions knowing the odds of surviving are stacked against you.
Yes as someone who has serious claustrophobia the thought of it freaks me out. I couldn’t be bolted inside there even on land without freaking out. The horror they must be experience will be like anything we’ll ever experience. Keeps playing on my mind too that the lad with his Dad is only 19. The devastating emotions they much be feeling, literally watching each other die.

The submersible lost contact with the mother ship two-thirds of the way down during its descent and I would bet the farm that at this point it imploded.

If that had happened there would be debris visible on the surface, it is expected. Apparently the comms system was apt to fail frequently, so that was nothing new. Begs the question as to why that very important aspect was not dealt with a lot sooner. Comms is everything in a situation like that.

I assumed nothing of the sort, you’re just trying to wriggle out of fact the post didn’t go as you expected, my sympathies I know all too well what that’s like. Who’s running the operation is academic, any military involvement is worthwhile training. Not to mention coastguard too. Huge amount to be learned in operations like this.
I’m not sure how much simpler I can explain this mate, how far did you get at school? Did you get past taking your shoes and socks off to count to 20? I’ve already told you it’s SP that the coastguard doesn’t charge the victim for rescue - the taxpayer pays. That’s in a law somewhere - it’s not “assuming” anything. YOU are the one assuming something different to what happens in every other case will happen here. If you can’t understand that ask your carer to sit you down and try.
There’s nothing to be learned from a case like this because they are laid on the bottom in a dead sub. It’s just a case of going down and picking it up. That’s been done many times before - it will cost a fortune mind you.

Do you have any evidence for this or have you pulled it from your bottom? I havn’t heard oceangate say they’re picking up the tab no - until you do, don’t assume it.

If the viewing window failed, which is the weakest point, then it would instantly fill with water and sink. There would be so little debris rising to the surface that it would be all but impossible to spot.

I don’t think there is (was) a viewing window. Which makes it all the harder to understand the point of going down to watch it on a TV screen.
Edit: I stand corrected (that’s what you get for getting your news off Instagram reels)

Ok I’m done. I’ll leave you, your massive ego, your petty jealousy and your childish insults in peace. Have a good afternoon friend.

Evidence of what? I made 2 points so I will answer both.
These are incredibly rich families who have loved ones down there, I think its a given they will pay anything they can if it means there’s a chance of them being rescued alive.
People just need to read your drivel to see my 2nd point that you are just a sad, bitter individual.

Why on earth would you think that? They could have paid to have a rescue vessel there when they went down couldn’t they? You really think oceangate are going to cough up for the rescue? They will be trying their hardest to get out of paying compo for the deaths - just imagine how much that will be (unless they waivered all compo claims)
When you’re wrong just say “I’m wrong”. Don’t be so insecure that you have to throw insults.
