Sales brochures

Hello Jamie.

Afraid these are the best I can find at the moment for Merc V-engines. Hope they’re of some use.

Here you are Glenman, the MAN 16.232

And a few other bits and pieces from MAN

Something a little ‘different’ here.

I wonder if there’s any still operating in the UK?

thanks gb1 ,great to see those pictures.

Hi gb1 good pics,Would you have a ERF B series Brochure with the Blue interior I remember having one as a kid as I did the same as you. I would like to see one again as this is the lorry I pasted my test in.
Thanks in advance,

Martin.

Great stuff. I have an F88 in the pipeline too so that interior shot is the business!

Hello Lonewolf.
The F88 also had the blue interior. Not sure what year that would be from, though i’m sure someone will know.

The blue trim would make it a facelifted 240, with the plastic grille or an early 290, so 72-76 would cover it.

G’day GB1,
Thanks mate, they are of help ta,it’s the colour as much as the detail that I was after.
Talking of sales brocheres I rescued these from the bin at work last week,I know they are not trucks but they are of some interest I reckon, they look like mid 60’s to me.
I like the fact that it looks very quiet and peaceful and there is no silly hi-viz.

Check out the old Hilman cars and the Bedford van in the background.
I also found a heap more CAT,Priestman,John Deere and Michigan
Cheers keep 'em coming mate. Jamie

Here you are MGb, the ERF B-Series.

Also available in brown!

Remember when the Commercial Vehicle Show used to be at Earls Court? Don’t know if it was because I was a lot younger then, but it seemed to have more atmosphere than at the NEC.
Anyway, heres an ERF brochure from Earls Court 1974.

Next up, its the Atkinson Borderer.

I also have spec-sheets for Searcher, Defender, and Venturer models.

In the days when sleeper-cabs were starting to become common, several companies built conversions to standard cabs to satisfy the demand. One such company was Locomotors Ltd of Andover.
Heres their brochure, and a reprint page from Commercial Motor, 1975.

Apologies for bombarding this site, but as i’ve said earlier, i’m back to work on Wednesday, and won’t be home till Christmas, so i’m trying to get as much on here as I can while i’ve got the chance. By all means, please add anything that you might have.
I stopped collecting in the 80’s, so anything newer would be appreciated, although equally, I don’t profess to have everything pre-80’s!
Thankyou for your interest so far, and I hope this thread continues in my absence.
