Why couldn’t I have had a TV cab over the 180 Gardner instead of the Atkinson/Jennings abortion that I was given? :unamused:

Hi nice to see the Belaz265b is still remembered I worked for UMO Plant as their demonstration driver for these vehicles and covered all of the UK including Northern Ireland. The vehicles were robust and although only a 6x4 with the rear two driving, they would out preform most if not all of the 6x6 trucks of the time

Faun Germany.

As a youngster, I used to write to most of the truck manufacturers around the world, asking for sales brochures/literature for their various models. Most were obliging, and I used to receive packages from far and wide. Some even went to extremes.
It took quite a bit of explaining to my parents when the local Leyland dealer turned up with a demonstrator!
Anyway, I rediscovered a stash of brochures earlier today whilst up in the attic.
Heres a selection. Let me know if they’re of interest, if you’d like more, or if you want details from inside.

OK, seems to have got off to a slow start, so here’s a few more.
If nothing else, they make interesting pictures!

Hi gb1,
Good selection of brochures you have. Nice to see the spec offered on some of the lorries. I was driving when most of those were new, didn’t get to see the brochures, keep em coming.
Cheers Dave.

Great topic, I will try to dig some of mine out and post

From a model makers point of view, these are gold dust. I don’t suppose you could scan and pdf me a few??

Those Sudden Accidents really were that bad weren’t they?

I had all the AEC, Leyland & Scammel Brochures from when my Dad was a truck salesman, God knows where they went to but they were in a big Kalamazoo briefcase with copies of his sales orders and price lists

Steady on Wolfy, I think they should be shared out amongst all of us

A few more for you. I’m going to scan inside pages of the brochures so you get more information about particular models.
Firstly though, more front covers.

OK. For those of you who have shown an interest, i’ve started to upload the inside pages from various brochures.
If there’s anything specific anybody wants, please ask, and if i’ve got it i’ll put it on. I’d add though, that i’m back to work next week and won’t be home again until Christmas, so I apologise for any delay.

Heres the first then. THE LEYLAND SUPER COMET

Thats brilliant, cheers!
