Whats happened in Rumoland, have they sent all there trucks west, as the last two weeks i have seen dozens of them in the the UK, and yesterday i passed 10 or twelve parked in laybys around Brittany.
The french company that we work for now has them as subbys, end of the road for us i reccon, also the number of rumo plated Spanish trucks are on the increase, most are double manned.
THE END IS NIGH

Look at this map of average wages. Romania €423/month. UK €2723/month. France €2410/month.
No surprise really, and those are average wages, drivers probably less than average.
Our firm subcontracts some full loads onto RO trucks but to be honest it’s often more trouble than the rate saving is worth, by the time they get lost and then leave the fridge doors open from the moment they arrive until the time they reverse onto the bay. We see more international loads going on Portuguese vehicles.
As for average wages, I don’t know many people earning that sum here in France, especially truck drivers!

Average will include bankers, commodity traders, euro MP’s and other blood suckers.

Of course, but as a percentage of the population they’re a relatively small number. The average monthly pay for an employed person in France is actually 1712 euros according to the Minister of Work. That’s not going to tempt many British drivers over the Channel for a job!
Sometimes there’s wikipedia, and then there’s the truth

Surely this is old news, it has been like this for ages!
English drivers won’t run bent…in spite of the fact they are expected to.ten a penny drivers save so much for pensions .if you can persuade them to forget two things .health and safety and drivers hours.if you do this you can get 7 or 8 quid an hour .unless you say health and safety.no one dare speak its name.just keep getting new meat to pay pensions .
My mates just finished his second 15 hour nightshift.desk jockeys like him a lot.he looks like the living dead and his wife’s on the milkman .but marizuk is made up with 100 nicker for a shift.by rigging poa it can be made to look legit…the future is here
Please note.the period of poa must be notified in advance and should not be done retrospectively.now u see why English drivers don’t get a sniff of supermarket work .bend this rule ,as 90percent of operators do and you’ll be fine .standard practice. However unethical
mercury:
Please note.the period of poa must be notified in advance
Not strictly true I’m afraid. If you go to a certain place and experience tells you that it takes for example 3 hours to load or tip you can then reasonably book POA without being informed verbally of any delay.
And if its a new site?..telepathy.or should the Lbos inform you of the period of delay or leave you in a room with a coffee machine.(attending station of work)
the maoster:
experience tells you
There’s a clue right there…
Yes loads of Romanian registered trucks, knocking around Europe, either owned by Western European haulage companies or pulling their trailers, I’m sat opposite one now, it’s owned by a Dutch firm, judging by the name, E van Wijk.
But a couple of years ago you saw the same thing with Polish trucks in well known liveries, so I think the people most affected by this are not french and British drivers they’ve already seen the majority of thier international work go, more Polish drivers who’ve been priced out.
very old news now, where have you been for the last 4 years?
Leaving the one hand’s sarcasm klunk/■■■■■■■ I want to tell you a story. Recently, the representatives of a large companies in the Netherlands have come to a company in Romania with the following proposal: pay for their schooling of some persons to obtain the driving license, categories C and CE, plus professional certificates necessary provided that the persons concerned to work at least 2 years for that company. Why? Maybe they are cheap, but they have a qualities: are workers and disciplined. It is NOT a story, it is the truth.

Dutch drivers are workers and disciplined, the only reasons Dutch firms employ Romanians as that they work for less than half as much.
Same work at half price. And?

Cast your eyes West and look at the (generally) bigger houses, the better cars, the (generally) non corrupt police, the better health care, the better social welfare systems. Then cast your eyes back east and think about your statement.
You’re right, but the subject was about Romanian drivers.
You’re right. You then asked a specific question which I then answered.
