Sad news a driver has died after getting trapped in the cab while delivering in Oswestry.

Terribly sad, I don’t understand what the report means when it said that he died when a foreign object entered his cab while he was driving through Oswestry?

A foreign object entered his cab ? All I can think of is a bullet or a scaffold pole, anyway poor sod. R.I.P drive.

According to this article he’s believed to have come into contact with a car park barrier.

Always sad to see that a driver has died R.I.P and sorry for his family
Sadly I knew the driver involved and feel so sorry for his family and also his work colleagues at the depot at Heywood.
He had just made a delivery to the store and was leaving when the right hand section of opened height barrier swung out and entered the cab.
Absolutely tragic.
FFS…What a ridiculous way to meet your end. Poor bloke.
Good god how awful, an bit of a cliche but just goes to show it can all go wrong so very quickly.

I’m assuming the driver had keys and was responsible for opening and closing the barrier. Sad news.
