Nope, don’t see it. I see two trucks that are roughly the same size and shape, like any truck, but I’d be surprised if there’s a single Magnum panel on the truck.

Didn’t they say once the magnum first came out it wasn’t going to be made in RHD? I assume in a few years they’ll start making the magnum replacement in RHD too.
Cheers

Sales of only 150ish magnums a year in the UK will have something to with the new one not coming in RHD.

The thing is, the magnum was,in the eyes of a lot of people ie fleet buyers a bit of an oddball.
But it’s replacement is the same cab as the premium replacement but higher, both literally and in spec.
So to say that they will not sell them in the uk in any meaningful volume because the magnum did not seems pretty stupid.
But, what do I know.
Seems to me the lack of the big cab Renault is to create some ‘clear water’ between them and Volvo, same as Volvo’s ‘new’ FM is just a (albeit well executed) facelift, rather than adopting the lower mounted Premium cab replacement

That’s a good point.
If they turn out to do 15 miles to the gallon,I might consider buying one.
But I remain of the opinion, that they just look like a cheap china made Thing.

But the “lower mounted premium cab replacement” has loads more room in than the Premium itself. It’s not a facelift Premium , it’s a different motor…
I think that when you guys have actually been in the lower of the two T Range cabs, you’ll be surprised at just how different it is to a Premium… More legroom, more standing room, wider cab…better bunk…

The new cab is loads better than the premium. I sat in a few at the launch in Lyon, and there were some variations on cabs specs/heights within the ‘low datum’ range - how many might be available in the UK remains to be seen.
From Renaults point of view, the new tractor answers the only major criticism against the Premium, which was a small-ish cab. If Renault keep the price gap between them and Volvo, they could be onto a real winner. Having seem the new chassis close-up, they have gone from being a French chassis with a Volvo drivetrain, to a Volvo chassis and drivetrain, which is assembled in France.

Will it always look UGLY, or will we get used to it.
I think the magnum replacement looks a bit better, stick super singles on and the right paint.
Or is it a case of polishing a turd?0
I asked my missus & she said "no, they all look the same to me "
When the Renault AE (later named Magnum) was launched it also stirred up some strong views on its looks- you can read the launch article from CM here (for free)
