I’m gutted, I’m in the last new one I will ever get, disregarding its looks, it has a far superior ride compared to the DAF 105xf with a far superior auto box.
The only positive thing I can say about the daf, is its good to sleep in.
They have no intention of bringing the replacement here as its going to be LHD only.

Your not likely to see that one here, unless its on foreign plates, UK is only getting all upto the premium replacement from what I’ve been told?

Saw 'em at Carmathen couple of weeks ago.
MUCH better in the flesh (though I quite liked the styling anyway) and a vast improvement inside; though they still haven’t cleared some of the unnecessary crap off the steering column.

Agree the grill looks odd, but so does Volvo and DAFs new designApparently the larger grilles are needed to stop the egr systems overheating !
You can’t see them from behind the wheel though
and the colour looks better in real life ( would be hard to look worse though )
It’s not fitted with that type of EGR - It runs from exhaust to inlet manifolds via a valve and doesn’t need a cooler like MAN.

Was told last year by a top man at Renault that the Magnum would be no more, he must have been lying 'cause the pic posted by Zippo has Magnum all over it ,seems to me
a very attractive replacement. I like it, I own a Magnum and just peeved I am now toooo old to go into debt again. Never mind.

prefer the look of the double drive model myself ,and I work on DAF and not a fan of the French…Steve ,how much of the cab is Volvo ■■? With the expense of designing a new cab ,there must be a lot of shared components…

The cab panels and cab structure are unique to Renault - There is still a great deal of shared components though.

Good pic Neversweat…the Magnum lives on…I like it, looking forward to seeing one on the road and I am sure some Frenchman will end up giving one a great paint job,
J.H.Mesguen has done a great job with the new Vovlo.
I like it in the black. It also looks better with the spot bar. Just a shame they didn’t colour code the corner caps under the step.

Got the guided tour of one last week, only two negatives I really had was still not a lot of room for your left foot and tractor units will not have the option of a manual gearbox apart from that nowt much wrong

That first photo shows, for me that truck looks a complete abortion.
For some reason the taller cab looks a lot better.
Why the ■■■■ Renault have decided its not worth making it in right hand drive Is beyond me.
It’s a bit like Mercedes only selling the long distance in right hand drive.
The vast majority of top weight artics sold in the uk must be mega space, and they have sold a lot.
Didn’t they say once the magnum first came out it wasn’t going to be made in RHD? I assume in a few years they’ll start making the magnum replacement in RHD too.
