Renault T range. Is it the most ugly truck in a long time

Liveried one

Steve

^That don’t look too bad at all IMHO.

Neversweats pic triggered some memories from 50 years ago.

Now i know where they got the design, BR class 52 locomotive, The Western.

Looks a lot better in livery as most launch trucks do

it looks good in that livery ,but ,with the livery being all sharp lines and angles it blends in well with sharp lines of the vehicle design…other liveries may not complement the vehicle as well…Though in the long run no matter what it looks like as long as it does it’s job,it doesn’t really matter

My only criticisms of the current premium are the mid lift doesn’t steer, the curtain track is ridiculously poor design & keeps falling out, no outside lockers, filling the washer bottle is a bit Heath Robinson & the exhaust brake comes on automatically at 58mph.

They ruined the fh now looks like they ruined the magnum.!! Who’s gonna be the next one to ruin a truck’s looks.?

I’ve got a Renault Premium at the moment ( the old one ) and really like it. Far superior to the MAN I used to drive. Re the comment about the exhaust brake cutting in automatically. Just put your foot on the gas pedal. It disengages the exhaust brake. Nice trucks to steer.

You’ve obviously never filled the washer bottle on a CF before then. Anyone that has will know that the Premium filler is just fine.:smiley:

Yeah the cf one was a bit of a faff as well. I know about putting your foot on the gas to cancel the zaust brake but, that’s, work…

Well said zippo.

Why, what does he know?

What’s you’re problem but wad?

the CF washer bottle filler is a joke ,would love to know the wage the designer of that is on…would be a good dyke design as water can’t get past it

Canny be as ugly as axors or the premium…

Form follows function, all euro 6 trucks have to have a larger engine grille so I guess the answer to your question is “Whoever launches the next euro 6 truck”

You know I honestly like the look of the premium. The CF ain’t too bad, the new one looks well, think there’s a pic of a new one on commercial motor news site in tipper form. The only truck I think looks fugly is the axor.

Outside Lockers are poor size, but nontheless they’ll hold abit…9 straps and ratchets in the n/s isn’t a problem
As for the exhaust coming on automatically… turn it off on the dash…won’t come on at all then…

I had a good look around the reno T at Newark, and the out side locker’s are tiny, even the sale’s man with the truck agreed that the locker’s are small. but overall, it look’s like a winner of a truck, the only other thing I pointed out, was the dash mounted satnav, it look’s out of place, and creates’ a blind spot. and you just about have a full width cab aswell…

tbh, i’m not a Renault fan, but the past couple of year’s they have come on leap’s and bound’s from the old 385dci engined with the slap over box. sure they won’t please everyone, but who care’s, well the fleet manager, the dealer ship, company profit’s…

and as I have said before, tractor unit to tractor unit, the premium is probably one of the most common unit’s on the road…

Might have to hang up my keys Kate, can’t work out how to open the locker, there’s a knob looking thing by the door on the inside but doesn’t seem to do anything when I pull it. Is there just one on the nearside or both sides. Been stashing my straps in the footwell…

I think even when I turn the zaust brake off from auto it still comes on over speed will have another play. What does the r+ s- button do?
