Go trawling franglais. I have brought this up with you time and time again, are you playing stupid again?
Its his classic diversion tactic when backed into a corner.
In the real world (that you so blindly ignore) many people don’t bother reporting stuff to the police anymore, why? Because they know damn well nothing will get done, except maybe you’ll get a crime reference number and never hear anything from them again.
To all the Brexiteers, as it stands Britain got off lightly with the US tariffs, poor old EU
Ever tried reporting ANYTHING to the police these days, a 999 call often results in you being asked to call 111 where a voice mail can be recorded and some one will get back to you … hopefully !
Take a look at this site to see why ■■■■ / sexual assault is not reported, including the woeful successful prosecution figures
■■■■, sexual assault and child sexual abuse statistics | ■■■■ Crisis England & Wales
Except of course…if you read @robroy’s post…
It was reported to the Police!
He is seemingly complaining about the reporting, or lack of, in the local press.
However the link you provide is a worrying one.
That ■■■■ is under-reported is both an historical and ongoing problem.
Don’t be confusing him with official stats that contradict his lefty narrative ffs man.
Franglais still thinks coppers are 50s Dixon of Dock Green types, ‘Evenin All’ ,…
Or fat jolly policemen with big smiles and rosy cheeks riding bicycles in Enid Blyton books.
Where they ALWAYS catch criminals whilst wielding truncheons, burglars dressed in stripey jumpers and Lone Ranger masks holding their hands up saying..‘‘It’s a fair cop guvnor’’.
…And where hostile scrounging freeloading criminal terrorist scum who have zero respect for their reluctant hosts, are all genuine ‘‘refugees’’,
Both examples as prepostrerous as each other.
Or calling them in 101, I often give up after waiting an hour, by that time the perpetrator or the person they are looking for are long gone.
Wiltshire Police were in special measures due to dropping calls, where they simply didn’t answer them.
The illustrious EU strike again.
I thought we were well rid of their restrictive and expensive bloody regulations.
Good job you are “such a cynic and do not believe all you read” innit.
Quote from article
The purpose of this article, aside from our usual April Fool’s Day joke, is to make the point that reading beyond the headline should be the norm every day, not just on the 1st of April.
My ex Army mate sent me it, must admit did not read it all…I owe him one.
Bloody mates…shock horror …will I live it down.
Probably not
thing is… its exactly the sort of thing that the nutty government would do… and its the sort of thing that the eu would insist on. Most rdc’s have the bays blind side on for the benefit of the european drivers
Well worth having a look at, brave people risking death in exposing a ruthless regime.
Alrighty. A prediction based on my usual insanity, I mean calm observation and deliberation of the facts:
Consider, in past 5 years the numbers of cops getting their own collars felt, and either drummed out the service, or even sent to clink, has sky rocketed. Another 2 in the news today.
We’ve had PCSOs for a while now, a totally useless replacement for the real dixon of dock green. And most recently it seems some councils are trialling these “enforcement officers” or such like. Jobsworths authorised to demand your details for littering or belching in public.
I reckon in the next 2 years we will see SIA licenced security officers getting more “rights” to deal with day to day thuggery like selling lemonade while unlicensed, in the streets, privatising by the backdoor, the police.
You know that already, many police forces have civilian investigation officers. dudes who essentially do the job of a detective constable in collecting evidence, sifting through it and writing reports for senior officers and the DPP to act on. Your scenes of crime officer no longer has to be a warranted police officer, only qualified in forensics. And I’m not sure now if even they allow civilians to apply to become the police chief rather than plods rising through the ranks, as they were certainly talking about this over 10 years ago.
All privatisation through the back door
Everything is getting privatised which means shareholder’s “rights” to profit taking precedence over our rights to the best public service.
That has been the case.
Is that trend going to continue, remain the same, or is it about to change with the current Gov?
Will water and rail become service providers for the greater UK public, rather than cash cows for investors in the UK and abroad?
Is it necessary for someone dusting for fingerprints to have trained on the beat for two years?
Does a tech need to be be as fit as a copper is?
(Or was during training )
This was the last RHD Brit tank Rob.Chieftain and Challenger centre drive.
This was the last LHD ‘EU’ one.
Followed by ze Leopard 1 …RHD.
The only April fool was on the author who just proved that they know absolutely zb all about tanks.
It depends on the definitions of despise and western culture.
It would make perfect sense for Communists to import an army, which has shown a historic predisposition to allying with Communists, against western interests and culture and freedoms.
Effectively we lost the Cold War to Communism within.
Obviously ‘they’ liked Biden, but not Trump, for a reason in that agenda.
