My 93 yr old mother is in the first stages of dementia, and has walking problems.
My 88 yr old Dad is caring for her.
He has tried for help to look after her, but because he has worked all his life, (12 yrs of which he served his country in the Royal Navy,) and has saved, he does not qualify because of his bank balance… which is not mega wealthy by any means, and he owns his own house.
He has never claimed a penny off the state in that time, snd he now faces putting my Mam in a home eventually at a grand or so a week…so could use a little help.
So in your narrow minded little world do you think it is fair on my parents (and many other people like them,) who have continuously contributed towards the state in taxes etc, but get no financial state welfare help when most needed, when at the same time you have scrounging criminal foreign scum coming here claiming for and receiving millions off the same state, whilst masquerading as refugees just to get what they can off us in our country.

There are about 12m pensioners in the UK.
There were about 108,000 individuals seeking asylum a year. Spreading all of their costs over the UK pensioners will not go far at all.
Do not blame a small group who have no vote for decisions made by those who consistently want tax cuts, but always moan about falling public services.
If you want more for OAPs and other needy people do not be fooled by the politicians who are rich, and want tax cuts for themselves and their sponsors. They can already afford private health care and private education.
They seek to blame a small visible group so you do not look too closely at what they are really6 doing. Thousands of migrants are not responsible for the millions shortfall in housing stock.
They are not the ones taking benefits that should be given to the OAPs etc, that is the wealthy off-shoring their funds, and telling us they are patriots whilst living abroad.
