Political discussions...

The blurb as follows.
‘The London Economic is a digital newspaper with a metropolitan mindset, supporting liberal, progressive, pro-European and pro-business viewpoints.
‘Who advocate more compassionate politics’’

Yeah course it is…who’d have thought it eh?
Cheers for that one Franglais.
:joy: (from the guy who constantly knocks and discredits GBN and Talk radio for bias )

The article with opinions is in a journal… the survey it is reporting on… was made by YouGov…a respected survey company…previously referenced by some including @robroy @maoster etc

The article is in a left leaning paper.
The survey company YouGov are not particularly biased.

So here is the YouGov link https://x.com/YouGov/status/1888905564010238200?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1888905564010238200|twgr^daebb404f3b61ed6beff0ee3e3cc2e3b9d86f5c3|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thelondoneconomic.com%2Fpolitics%2Fbrits-reckon-ed-davey-would-be-better-pm-than-farage-and-badenoch-according-to-poll-389658%2F&mx=2

Are right wing media reporting on the survey?
Are they bothering to inform their readers of this YouGov poll?
They certainly were vociferous when the poll showed Farage’s company doing well in polls.

So you don’t like the source of the article? Fine.

Previously you did like the source of the survey, when it said what pleased you.

Really Where do I say that? Or anything in any way resembling that?
That is part of link address to a website!

Will GBN etc be carrying this story? Or will their editorial bias prevent it’s airing?

Omg I know I am laying myself wide open here  with your insecure need of you always needing to be right…, but I can not for the life of me remember posting a you gov poll,.I can not speak for Maoster.

But hey, feel free to have a trawl through my posts for last 18 years if you feel the need to prove me wrong,.as I am confident you will.

As for polls and stats or whether or not certain news sources are reporting on this that and the other, I have already explained my views (again and again…and again ) on how I consider anything that is said to me by officialdom to convince or influence my views.

I have also stated that I regularly listen to many news sources of different stances, views and agendas…even those types who favour the likes of your ‘Also ran’ Lib Dem party.

Btw your link…'‘Compassionate Politics’ …nuff said.:joy:

Furthermore I am not arrogant nor conceited enough to set myself up as some kind of unofficial spokesman or apologist for any company, body or political party as you regularly take it up on yourself to do…so it’s pointless asking me questions on the schedules and motives of GBN.

So mate…‘Pipe & Smoke’.:sunglasses:

So instead of digesting YouGov polls showing which personality would be the most popular PM, lets digest the elephant in the room, (for some) ie Reform UK and it’s meteoric rise from nowhere to where it’s at right now.
Voting intention: Lab 24%, Ref 25%, Con 21% (2-3 Feb 2025) | YouGov

He’ll be a while answering mate, he’s currentlly up to his neck tediously trawling through my posts to prove himself right…he’s only up to March 2009 at the moment.:joy:
But dont worry he has proven beyond doubt many times he has plenty time on his hands.:joy:

Credit where credit is due, that is good.
I saw the news item this morning on tv…
.BBC news incidentally.

Look from day one I have said I am not anti Labour for the hell of it, I would love it if they got the country up to scratch, I have voted Labour myself in the past ffs, albeit regretting afterwards…(ref Blair, then the ultimate idiot Brown.)

Thing is I cynically ask myself if this is just a pr excerise, a gesture, damage limitation after they have seen clearly that they are about as popular as piles with the public.

Also it aint nearly enough, they are expellling hundreds on one hand, while on the other hand constantly and simultaneously allowing, (in fact actively encouraging with second to none incentives.) thousands of others ad infinitum.

I suppose it’s a start, but I aint convinced of the authenticity, or the true agenda…and even if it is genuine, it’s a bit like shoving a rolled up towel in the gaping hole of The Titanic. :joy:

^^^ a postive step, not to be sneered at I agree.

I just wish they’d be proactive in their launches by including a couple of torpedo boats in that in order to stop the criminals becoming a problem on our shores.

You just sound like a far right racist Nazi now mate.:joy:…A certain few will be rolling around the floor clutching their chests at that.:joy:

Another reason why we need a Trump like character in charge. :joy:

Just in case anybody on hete is thinking of going down that route…here’s a guide to help you decide.

So we’ve had a list of Trumps achievements in the short time he took over in the US.

We’ve had lists from Franglais (over and over…and over again yawwn) of the ■■■■ ups and ■■■■ ups of the Tories.

So let’s have a list of the antics of The Labour govt, (so far) who are slowly taking over as the ‘Party of sleaze’…no doubt much more to come.
Btw note the use of the ‘Mental Health’ card by the Labour spokesman.:joy:

Has to be worse to come, it was a big group

Why waste the torpedoes just get a couple of frigates and sail round then in a tight circle the wash will sort the issue

Again IF genuine and not some sort of brief pr excercise…brilliant.
Still not convinced…do not trust them.

I would like to think that these ■■■■ s have finally got the message, that most people are sick to the pits of their stomach of their pathetic lefty hand wringing deluded views, and their way of doing things.
Not convinced,… read the article where these lawyers and a couple of their MPs are still spouting all this b/s that people escaping wars (from France! ) are refugees, and not fortune seekers following the milk and honey trail to the vast incentives across the channel…basically taking the pi55 out of our country.
Apart from that hard line actions go against everything these deluded lefty liberal woke souls, stand for.

I know although they will never admit it, that Reform has them crapp ing themselves, and I would also like to think they are reluctantly seeing (through the fingers of their hands deliberately covering their faces) what is going on in the US with attitudes and actions against their illegal immigrants and imported criminals, and the support of these policies from people in this country by it’s realists…again not convinced.
But hey…it’s a start.

It’s meaningless Labour propaganda. Streeting was on Radio 4 this morning making it clear that illegals would still be able to stay in the country but it would just mean that they didn’t get citizenship. That’s been the status quo at any carwash for decades.

old news the tories already did that.

As there is a list of trumps achievements on another thread lets look at what starmer has managed.

Frozen the elderly
Put energy prices up
Intrest rates on borrowing have risen
Gdp fallen
Taxed the farmers
Council tax rises
Number of people waiting for treatment risen
Immigration up
Food prices up
Increased unemployment
Lied to government
Lied to the british people
Lied to the monach
Covered up his own miss doings and those of his mates

Yet those vilifying trump think starmer is doing a good job
