From first link.
“The Commissioner agreed that this was an inadvertent error, which has been rectified.”
The inquiry identified eight breaches of the MPs’ code of conduct by Sir Keir, but said there had been no attempt to mislead.

Quote:
“Sir Keir Starmer sold seven acres of green-belt land for an estimated £400,000 just a day before travellers set up an unauthorised caravan site on an adjoining field.”

And?
Is he somehow responsible for what happens next door after he has sold some land? Would he have been responsible if he still owned the land?
Are you responsible if your neighbours break the law?
Are you responsible if your neighbour’s gets broken into?

Do you know how the party whipping system works?

Did you know that in 2019 the Tories deselected all candidates who didn’t agree with the Johnson stance on Brexit?

two famous cases where he was dpp (head of the cps) Jimmy Savile he claimed he had no knowledge of the case as it was someone under him that was dealing with it as he keeps doing in the labor party

the post office scandal

then 2 days later

over 900 were prosecuted and 236 went to jail big difference to the claimed 3 then 6 days later

yes as opposed to the old laws ie tougher sentences and assaulting a shop worker will be made its own offense rather than just falling under the umbrella of assault

Telegraph article is behind a pay wall.

However, what is wrong with anything in the 2 preceding articles?

900 prosecutions made and from your link
“The CPS said three of the 11 cases took place during Sir Keir’s tenure as director of public prosecutions between 2008 and 2013”

Most prosecutions were made by the Post Office’s own lawyers. Not the CPS.

so what your saying is then that private companies/lawyers can send people to jail

dont worry from what i could see its just the usual drivel of starmer blaming everyone but himself again

Sentences can be changed for existing offences. Sentencing guidelines can be changed by a Minister without going to Parliament.

What next a new law for speeding in a red car?
Will that have a tougher sentence than speeding in a blue car?
. . . . .

Have you read anything past the headlines concerning any of this?

Judges can send people to jail.
The CPS is not the only entity able to start a criminal (risk of fines/jail) prosecution, although they do the most and are a branch of non-ministerial government.
Indeed anyone can hire a lawyer to bring a Private Prosecution.
In the vast majority of the 900 cases the Post Office did just that with their own legal team.

no but how about a law that allows tougher sentencing for those that assault nurses that’s all they are saying but i guess you disagree with that. Changing the sentencing law on a broad crime like assault is complex. far easier to create a law to deal with a particular crime that is on the rise.

of course although i do wonder if you ever do with what you posted above.

no judges are the only people that can send you to jail. lets go through this step by step.

blogs is suspected of committing a crime
police arrest him and gather their evidence
police submit their evidence to the cps who decide if there is a charge to face and they have enough evidence to back it up.
the judge / jury depending on the court level make their decision on if they are guilty or not

What?
Yes, Judges are the only ones who can give out sentences for jail etc.

Yes.
OR
If the CPS think there is insufficient evidence, or for other reasons, decide not to prosecute, then someone else can mount a prosecution.
Still in front of a Judge, and with the same possible penalties for any alleged crime.

As I said it is a Judge who has the power to impose a sentence after a guilty verdict.

the Post Office and the statutory authorities of the UK, the CPS, the PPSNI, and the COPFS, prosecuted hundreds of subpostmasters[a] in criminal prosecutions in magistrates’ courts and the Crown Court

so what you are saying then is that 225 of the jail sentences handed out happened in northern Ireland and Scotland??

I haven’t said anything in particular about NI or Scotland, neither of which have any relevance to the CPS of England and Wales of which Starmer was head, and you were talking about.

im saying there were 236 prison sentences your claiming the cps was only responsible for 11 so if it wasnt ni or scotland equivalent who was it

or is it what anyone with an ounce of sense can see is that starmer has lied yet again been caught with his trousers down and now blaming everyone else

Victoria Atkins Minister for Health

And earlier?
The Telegraph 19/12/23
"On Monday, the heads of University Hospitals Plymouth Trust, Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, Gloucestershire Hospitals Foundation Trust, The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust were summoned for a dressing down from the Health Secretary.

It was sparked by unpublished data showing a deterioration in performance in areas which already had appalling records for ambulance and A&E delays."

So, can’t name any trusts doing well and “wants to be fair” etc, but also happy to name those doing badly.
Incompetent?
Liar?
Both the above?

nope simply doing her job saying these are the ones that aren’t upto snuff

edit to add starmer had 4 million cases in the 5 years he was in charge of the cps thats 800,000 a year but first denies knowledge of the post office case then 2 days later says oh i might of been in charge of a handful but cant be expected to remember because i dealt with 4 million cases.

this woman deals with a foundation that saw 2.6 times the amount of people in the month of feb than he did in a year

Not the point I was making.

She was very quick a couple of months ago to point to those who were not, for whatever reason “up to snuff”.

Now she is claiming big improvements, but when challenged as to where,no answer, woffle and “I can’t name them”.
She used names before, she won’t now.
So…?
Lying about improvements because she will not say where they are? She does not want to be checked up on.
Lying that she cannot name, names? Obviously. She has previously.

No one asked Atkins about Mt Smith of Acacia Rd.
No one asked about broken left legs.
She was asked for one example from among the Health Areas,
She didn’t say “There are loads of them” She did say (in contradiction of earlier times) that she didn’t think it fair to name them.

Starmer was asked about the PO cases.
He says he was not aware of any.
Days later he says about 3 while he was in charge at the CPS.
I would think that he asked the question of the CPS themselves and could then give an accurate answer, which is what he did.

the presenter agreed there were improvements over the last few months which is what atkins was saying so no no lying there she even agreed that the numbers preceding the last few months were bad so no lying there (unless of course they wernt bad) she even answered that the target of 80% had been met across the board. they then what specific cases of where they were bad and why out of 2.1 million people a few had had to wait.

if i asked you what you were doing between 2008 and 2015 you could tell me in fairly specific detail. and thats just some random person on the internet an investigation has been launched and the first thing out of his mouth was nothing to do with me gov. then it was found out he had so he said he was responsible for a handful that is what lying is just as he lied about being involved with the jimmy savile case the guy is a snake.

Being in the public spotlight, sometimes you must have to adjust your stance a little. We as joe public probably don’t appreciate how it must be to be held accountable for any and every thing we say.

Michelle Donelan’s libel bills cost taxpayers £34,000 - BBC News

As true as that is…that is the job of a Minister.
Atkins was being questioned about her specialist subject, after all.
If she had said “I will look at that and get back to you,” it would have been a bit wofflely, but honest.
She didn’t, say the. She said she was unable to because it was unfair or summat.
However she has in the past named names.

If looks to me look evasion to avoid scrutiny.

A few?
7,580,000 waiting.
Of those 92,000 have been waiting over 65 weeks.

You and I have a different definition of “a few”
.

The wait lists are better than a few months ago. Yes.
They are longer than this time last year.
They are longer than when Sunak became PM.
I do not believe that any areas are actually “doing well” as Atkins claims.

Whoops…NHS England » NHS waiting list continues to fall as staff continue to tackle covid backlog amid strikes

in febuary there were 74000 patients a day that works out about 2.1 million for the whole of feb.

quoting yearly stats makes no sense when discussing a months figures as per the video

where did atkins or me say they were better than a year ago or when sunak became pm so again she hasn’t lied try again or alternatively focus on the ones that have lied repeatedly like starmer abbott and rayner et al

What I’d like to know from both of you - is how you think this will all get better once Keir Starmer inherits Number 10?

From what I can see, we have the choice of Deep State Blue, Deep State Yellow, or Deep State Red…

(Greens, Plaid, SNP, and RUK - not likely to show well under the new election algorhythms, alas…)
