Political discussions...

No they ‘flee’ France because the French aint stupid enough to offer them second to none gold star incentives to stay… they get a tent.
Never mind all will be sorted soon when Starmer ‘Smashes the gangs’ :joy:

Still no further news on the…‘‘bus accident’’ in Edinburgh.
Bloody sharp mirrors on those buses apparentlly

It’s nearly as quiet as the progress on the 2 Manchester Airport lunatics…how long is that now?
No ‘Starmer fast track’ action for those 2.

Anyhoo back to the …‘bus’.

You remind me of a kid who has to get the last word in an argument. Can’t just accept that someone else might have heard or read a different version of his so has to go frantically searching to prove he may be right. And does it in a condescending way like your last sentence above.

So you’ve found something different to what I read & heard. Doesn’t automatically make your point any truer than mine. I just can’t be bothered to go trawling back as my life doesn’t revolve around always trying to get the last word in or being right.

trouble is in a lot of areas you cant tell the difference between displaced scum from london to the imported variety

And then you call me condescending…

Why would I accept an assertion you have made, with no back up, when there is evidence that contradicts your assertion?

Where have I said you did not hear a different version.
I asked where it was. I looked for it. I could not find any.

If I was the receptionist at this surgery I would be reporting past the Drs to the local health authority and complaining about the unfairness.
If that had no effect I would be talking to the local and national press.

If the receptionist did not do this, and if I had something other than a third hand rumour then I would go to the HA or to the press myself.
How about you @robroy?

Interesting turn of phrase being used there.

If a truck rolls into the yard after a run with a stove in front quarter and is due out on another run, what would we do with it?
Maybe replace the lights but leave the panel damage until later.

Do work that is needed immediately but do the rest later.
Not do all work immediately, only that which is needed. Not that which is optional and can be left for a while.

That is how the NHS triage system (should) work. You get a broken leg or
festering wound fixed immediately.
You wait (far too long!) for a knee replacement.

OK. Then if we take him at his word then that is as above. The serious will be done quickly. The other stuff can wait.
To queue jump is very much not appropriate.

And if or when he finds back up to his claims, in keeping with your norm you will character assassin the source of evidence to suit your argument?

You’ve got an answer to everything.
Typical Franglais naive attitude…:joy:
'Call the Police ’ ‘inform the authorities’ ‘lobby your MP’ ‘Start a leaflet campaign’, ‘form a petition’ ‘Ring the Doctor and give him a piece of my mind’, Inform The Daily Mail…'Form a circle and sing Kumbya.
Aye ok.:joy::joy:

What about me you ask?
Well I just live in the REAL world, see things for what they REALLY are,and try and deal with b/s (and you lot) in the best way I can for me and mine

I couldn’t really care whether you accept it or not, nor what you found to the contary. I know what I read and heard. Thats good enough for me. Unlike you I’m not interested in point scoring and always having to be right.

Although if I did stoop to your level of trawling back through old stuff just to prove my point like you, I have no doubt you would instantly dismiss and rubbish whatever or wherever it came from anyway.

Pretty much mate.

Very believable.

There we are different.
If I am shown evidence to the contrary of my beliefs I am prepared to look at and examine it.
I am very happy to have an argument (not a shouting match) about things.

I remember saying that figures you found, regarding Starmer and his popularity doubtful. I found the source myself, and then said I thought it a good source and was reliable.

Of course this is contrary to the views you and @truckpro and giving so I guess you will choose to…how does it go?
"Stick your fingers in your ears and say la la la "?

''Stick your fingers etc etc…coming from you of ALL people.:flushed:
Your blissfull ignorance of irony is astounding mate.:joy:

quote
/…:
‘‘I am prepared to look at it and examine it’’…
Aye and then ignore what you actually see and hear, in favour of what you are TOLD to see and hear by the official narrative.
The game is up mate, we all have you completely sussed.

Classis Franglais, scrolling back through previous posts till you find something you feel you can use as an attack just to prove your point in your never ending quest to always be right - sad.

No fingers in ears needed here though as I never refuted nor denied what you found. I simply heard and read a different version of events. You on the other hand pretend thing’s aren’t happening when it’s something you don’t like or disagree with.

Some say they are having problems with finding the bus to check the pedestrian safety of its mirrors. Not helped by the description of a London Transport Routemaster or maybe RT with a pre 1964 reg number.

No. I ask for evidence.
Some here repeatedly say they take nothing on trust, and research their sources, but object if I do exactly that.

Ok Lads !! it must be correct !!! Franglais said so !!!

When you “research” what benchmarks do you apply to decide if something is, in your opinion, right or wrong ??

Dress it up how you like :-
The goverment has requisitioned a 3/4 * hotel to house irregular immigrants, when they promised several times in the last twelve months the practice would stop.
Cancelling weddings and other social events to clear the hotel.

300 irregulars have been housed in said hotel causing great discomfort in the local community.

The local NHS have employed a third party to provide immediate healthcare, probably on site, in other words a health care house visit for 300 complete strangers newly arrived in the country.

Meanwhile 90 year old Aunt Aggie down the road has to wait two or three weeks for a GP appointment at the practice she has probably used for the last 50 years.
She has to make her own way to the surgery despite any inclement weather. The GP will only accept on line appointments so she had to get her niece to make the appointment for her.

Now tell us there is no queue jumping

No. I said that I thought it was a good source. That was my opinion, not a fact.

I look at the sources of stories in the media, and if possible look at the original source of data. The OBR, ONS, are pretty good original sources IMHO.

I also look at baises in media outlets
If GBN and Novara Media are carrying the same story, then it probably has legs.
If GBN, and the Mail say that Martians have landed, but Novara, and Guardian say no such thing, then I would go and look at Reuters and the FT.

“I thought it a good source and was reliable”

You “thought” it was a good source but also declared it reliable.

How do you decide reliability ???
