You are shooting the messenger, old thing. He’s merely quoting the law. If that law is no longer fit for purpose, it should be voted out and replaced with something that works in 2024. This may happen sooner rather than later if the numbers triple as a result of imminent chaos in the Middle East and Central Asia.

Messenger? :joy:

Thats part of his problem, he’s a prolific unnoficial mouthpiece for the official narrative, by anybody in authority.
Which is bad enough, but he actually believes all the b/s that is (purposely) fed to him, and never questions it’s authenticity, but rather perpetuates it with frustration when he sees nobody who has a brain shares his enthusiasm for it all.
As for shooting him…let’s not go there eh?

Unless of course instead we were to shoot the Trojan horse of Asylum that brings in the bathwater with the baby… just sayin’ etc etc

Just made a couple of corrections to your reply. I can only assume you were having some autospell issues.

Errr yes we do. They enter on a dinghy and make damn sure they have no documentation to identify themselves. Even the most ardent lefty would have a hard time refuting that evidence in court.

Why don’t you try rocking up on the beach in Calais with no ID or passport and see what happens.

Franglais having the gall to call someone else naïve. I presume you see the irony in that.

As for why previous government’s did not take those simple steps, incompetence and for some unknown reason seemingly no desire to stop it.

But now we are seeing more countries within the EU enforcing much stricter border policies in relation to migration and are openly ignoring the ECHR because the penny has finally dropped that it’s out of control.

Sorry mate, that analogy is far too cryptic for me.:joy:
It has gone right over my swede.

After Franglais’s latest instructions on deciphering favourable left wing based terminology, and who could forget his infamous explanation of the hotel ‘Star rating system’ :joy:…(and of course how the ones being used by the …‘‘irregular’’ migrants are now downgraded to hostels.)

I’m half expecting some instruction off him next on how to use plural pronouns ‘‘correctlly’’ in place of gender recognition terms…another popular subject with his weird lefty mates.
He is (sorry they are) good at keeping us all right on these sort of ‘crucial’ matters after all :joy:

There are more checks being carried out at some borders.

Which countries are those?
I see that Italy’s Meloni has looked at some scheme that has been ruled out, by the Italian judiciary, but where has any EU country gone against the ECHR rules?

You still can’t see that a building can have different uses at different times?
That the same room can have a nice double bed with fresh sheets and towels everyday or be fitted with 4 bunks?
That a kitchen can have a staff of 6 and produce good food from prime ingredients, or have a staff of one and be given a budget of £2 a day per head?

Maybe we should lock the migrants up in jail?

France and Germany for starters. Wouldn’t surprise me to see the Netherlands next after what happened last week in Amsterdam.

Or just have a deterrent that stops them coming here in the 1st place. :man_shrugging::man_shrugging:

Dress it up all you want and try and defend it, its still a 3, 4 star hotel.

I’m sure those pensioners with nothing who sit slightly on the wrong side of the threshold who’ve had their fuel allowances taken away or the homeless citizens of the UK would be very grateful for a warm room and £2 a day towards feeding themselves.

There was a lady on radio this morning describing her local hotel housing these scumbags…‘akin to Downton Abbey’ were her words,…
I’m sure the description of…‘A hostel’ by this kin clown will go down well big style by the management’:joy:

As for his jail suggestion, no chance, they are packed to gunnels already with Starmer’s ‘Far Right’ and FB members… but an excellent suggestion anyway for these illleg…sorry irregulars.:joy:

Some good news at Altrincham though, the locals need no longer worry about not getting in the NHS for appointnents…they are shipping in a team of private health care Doctors to tend for the immigrants needs.
You could not make this up…Vote Labour, and still the Forum deluded idiot defends them.

You are describing a room with 4 bunk beds shared with strangers as being a 4* hotel?

Many homeless citizens do have warm rooms. Go and check out what the definition of homeless is.
The UK (2021 Shelter) had about 274,000 homeless of whom about 2,700 were rough sleepers.

There is no doubt that there is a housing shortage in the UK, especially affordable housing. Successive Govs have failed dismally to build homes.

Having some tens of thousands of asylum seekers in existing buildings does not give a simple explanation to the shortfall of millions of homes promised and never built.

Any links about ECHR please?
Not been anywhere that I can see.

This is the hotel in question, it is still on Booking.com, have a look at the interior photos. Even if there are four bunks to a room how will it compare to the living conditions the “irregulars” had in France??? I bet a pound to a pinch of S!"£ the hotel is better than any Salvation Army hostel.
According to reports at least two wedding receptions and other social events booked at the hotel have been cancelled at very short notice, how do you think the couples / people concerned feel about the situation ??
Would you have booked your wedding reception at a hostel???
It appears the NHS have contracted (paying for) a not for profit organisation to provide
healthcare for the “irregulars” perhaps the local residents could join the queue!!!

‘‘You still can’t see a building can have different uses’’…
Same as you 'still can’t see (or flatly refuse to see) the difference between bonafide asylum seekers/refugees and those undertaking a blatant abuse of that system for purely economic betterment…all at our expense.

Your stubborn refusal to see reality no matter how much it stares you in the face, knows no bounds…

As I have said you have incessantlly squealed and bleated on about the shortcomings of the Tories for what seems like forever, but not a word of criticism for the shower of sh of whom you kept assuring us would be an improvement.
But instead come out with a load of b/s giving ridoculous alternative definitions to the likes of hotels and illegals to try and excuse it all to acceptability.:joy::joy:
You are a joke !

The hotel they were in where I live they staged a rooftop protest because the facilities were not good enough ffs .:flushed:

Also some ex military camps were deemed unsuitable.
Surely any accomodation for refugees fleeing persecution would be an improvement, and worthy of gratitude.

I expect those involved feel very aggrieved. Disgusting that the hotel owners have broken their contracts to newly weds etc in order to get more money from the Gov.

A queue for the NHS?
Yes there is. The queue for the NHS has been getting longer for years.
There are millions awaiting treatment.
There are tens of thousands of asylum seekers…Oh and they are all “fit young men of fighting age” apparently…
