One of the fundamental laws of physics tells us that “for every action there is an equal opposite reaction”. Perhaps if we (as a society) had the minerals to show these feral, violent animals that the equal and opposite reaction to their actions was a swift and violent outcome they’d perhaps realise that life isn’t a video game and once you’re ended you’re ended permanently and they may just reappraise their behaviour.
I’m not convinced that would actually work, it would basically be a repeat of the American system, where all the cops have guns, which get used very readily, yet the violent crime continues (though not according to Trump’s fake statistics which have been thoroughly refuted by the FBI’s verified stats).
However, we clearly have some gigantic societal problems which require some radical solutions.

What do you suggest Zac? I’m not having a pop, I’m genuinely interested. My opinion is that we’ve passed the tipping point so we either have to accept that a breakdown of society is the new norm or we really need to make the hard decisions and to hell with the negative consequences.
I fully accept that innocents may well get hurt, and that in itself is a massive tragedy, but the question needs to be asked as to how many innocents will be hurt due to the consequences of not taking hard (and if need be) brutal actions?

If your premise is true then they are badly behaved and violent because they were treated violently. And there seems to be evidence that abused kids become abusive adults. The cycle of abuse and violence needs to be broken.

The USA, as Zac says has a strong armed Police force. And strict jails with a very high incarceration rate, yet has a very high homicide rate.
Norway has “soft” (in comparison) jails but a lower rate of offenders and a lower rate of repeat offenders.
It may seem counter intuitive but stronger sentences do not work.

Can you not just accept that there are good people and there are bad people, and in amongst,.and/or in between them are people who do not know (or ignore) right from wrong.
Knowing right from wrong…There are some people I would take great pleasure in actually killing, who have crossed me, I freely admit it, that is one of my ‘caveman’ type instincts that everyone has in their sub concious to some degree.
On the other hand I know right from wrong, so those urges, or primal instincts are curbed and controlled.
Others can not control them, or they even ignore them…so don’t give me all that dog crap.
And yes violence sure does stop violence, it’s a lot more effective than sitting round in a counselling session holding hands singing Kumbya that is for sure.
The US you mention also has the death sentence, you will no doubt argue it is a non deterrent, but it sure as hell deals with the perpetrator, not to mention save money on keeping him alive.
To get back to violence stopping violence…
If you ask politely with a ‘please sir’ somebody to leave a premises for example, who is making a complete 2hat of himself, and affecting others with or without violence, …you usually get a lot of gob, so not effective.
But then a quick headlock and a couple of knuckles across the nose is the method that works…real world stuff btw, not me like you, talking out of my arse about what I have read somewhere.

Sadly we are only going to see more of this and similar going forward and in the future as we do nothing to deter these unknown illegal immigrants from entering the country.
^^^^^This poor girl lost her life, a high profile case that would be impossible to hide or cover up.
In my area alone there have been at least one suspected ■■■■ and 2 attempted child abductions, by these people that I am aware of, not to mention regular cases of harrasment and propositioning of young women in the area.
Ok, these could be written off as hearsay and FB b/s, I get that, but the more serious case account came from a very good source, and the parents of one of the kids is known by my daughter.
I am totally convinced there is a deliberate policy of cover up…So to address your point, you probably will not see it, or at least hear about it, at all, or on other hand you are more likely to see it with your own eyes, but have it denied by both those with an agenda, and the downright gullible who will carry on and repeat the terms of that agenda.
