Political discussions...

Meanwhile, in France, something politically interesting is actually happening

Seriously Franglais man…WTF are you on exactly?

Btw your attempt at supposed humour about the number of letters, has gone right over my swede…even though I’m a…''English language expert.
Also …wtf do you mean by that also…?

Tell ya what, ignore my question, I CBA* with you.
(*3 letters used as an abbreviation for a slang expression of disinterest btw )

On the subject of hypocrisy I see that Farbage is…guess what?..gobbing off!

He is very vocally criticising Labour for helping the Harris campaign in the USA.
He, who helped Trump repeatedly.
He who has received help from Steve Bannon …Oh, and not declared such help either. He is obliged to do that now he is an MP, but didn’t have to when he wasn’t.

Just good ole St Nigel batting for the people everywhere. He is not prejudiced against foreigners at all.
It doesn’t matter whether millionaires are from USA, Russia, or other tax havens, he will take money from them all equally.

Nooo…Oh my God ! !
…I’m frantically clutching my pearls here to the point of breaking my exquisitely manicured nails. :flushed:.
I can not believe it in a Victor Meldrew stylee.

Are you ACTUALLY telling us that a politician is not all he says or seems?:flushed:

Are you actually telling us that a politician is ‘on the make’ for HIMSELF?:flushed:

Ffs man I and others on here have
been telling you this for years…they are all the kin same…how many more times?

He may be a MP who I have a lot of support for, but I am not naive enough to disbelieve it, and unlike you I aint prepared to make a complete and utter idiot of myself by trying to defend him or his actions on a public forum, JUST because I support him and/or his party.

Some of us are realists.

Nothing to see here…move on.

Suggestion… try a link next time which discredits the present government for a change…LOADS of scope for that.

I’d suggest that was acknowledging your A-level English which you mentioned recently; not really something to bristle about.

Oh come on @zac_a !

Given any chance to be offended, and feel persecuted, when has @robroy ever been shy.
His posts about being offended, are outnumbered only by his posts about how he is never offended!

Tbf…It was only brought up to put some balloon in his place, who attempted to be clever by stating I had difficulty understanding ENGLISH.
It’s certainly nothing to boast about in the grand scheme of educational achievements, and nor would I ever.

There is only ONE person on here mate who has EVER managed to offend me, usually stuff on here is water off a ducks back, but this guy is a bit ‘special’ shall we say.

A predictably weasely type of character who gives it the big ‘I am’ behind the safety of his keyboard, but who in real life would no doubt sh himself before going up to anybody saying anything derogatory to their face…(met them before on numerous occasions in REAL life btw.)

No names no pack drill…as they say.
I’ll keep you guessing.

Yes I saw that and it was a justified put down to that character.

I was just attempting a tad of mediation, I’m done now, you lads can resume scrapping.

However, even though my occasional attempts to inject a bit of politics that are potentially worth discussing, into a thread that consistently fails to live up to it’s name , I will make one more attempt.

Consider these factors: (NB for those who believe all employers are mega-weathly fat cats lining their pockets while twirling their Victorian-style moustaches, laughing maniacally, at the successful exploitation of a repressed workforce, you can ignore this as it won’t make any sense)

(i) Our new government are keen to legislate increased workers rights “from day one”,

(ii) They are also prepared (it seems) to use scarce-enough NHS resources for people who look like our faux-Scottish chum below, to get them “back into work” , a phrase which assumes that they have ever actually been in work for more than five minutes between a never-ending succession of Gregg’s cheese pasties, and do actually know the meaning of that four letter word.

(iii) Whilst seemingly planning to increase the employers NI contributions, thus instantly making the acquisition of a new employee a more expensive proposition than previously, all to plug Rachel Reeves gigantic (black) hole (oo-er missus!)

Taken together, this could mean you take a chance on a new employee, only to be saddled with a lazy and bolshy focker, who might fall off the diet-bandwagon at any moment, and now you’re stuck with Mr B’stard (below) who is costing you more than before, but has improved rights from-the-get-go, and a “valid medical excuse”.

And this is meant to encourage Economical Growth ?

Re NI: If you’re earning just under the “grand a week” mark, you as an employee will pay 8% (on earnings between £242.01 and £967, works out as £58). Employers pay more than you at 13.8%. This is what Labour are planning to increase and naively assume will not have a knock-on effect

Just getting back to you on this point now, as I have only just managed to stop laughing at Franglais’s…
‘Guide to the structure and definition of a hotel’ post, and his…
‘Irregular immigrants’ aint as big freeloaders as perceived b/s :joy::joy:

When I first heard about this revision of worker’s right’s thing, my initial reaction was… ‘At last’ and for once this shower is actually doing something right and useful…being that they are ‘supposed’ to be the party primarily for the working class and workers in general.

Full marks for addressing the zero hours, and the ‘fire and rehire’ on inferior contracts of employment…
Both epic pi55 takes that unscrupulous employers have got away with for years,.and that working people have struggled with.

The ‘Get the lard arses back to work scheme’ (not the official term btw😁) …

An illustration of just how out of touch with reality this lot is,.and just another ill advised, totally ridiculous pr stunt to make it look like they are doing something, when real and important issues are being ignored.
How many fat people that you know do not work BECAUSE they are fat ffs?
It’s vice versa, if they are fat (whilst being full time dole scroungers with zero intention of getting a job) it’s BECAUSE they are not working, and stuck to a sofa watching ‘This Morning’ and ‘Loose Women’, but we all know how this govt and it’s pathetic lefty servile followers all like to ignore the actual truth on certain matters, …it’s more convenient to maintain a facade.

The increase of employer’s NI…
A manifesto breach imo.
They clearly promised they were not going to raise taxes for workers…is NI not a ‘tax’ in everything but name?
Are guys who struggle to run small businesses on tight budgets not workers?
It’s just another way of them saying ‘Yeah ok but we didn’t really mean it like that’…or ‘we had our fingers crossed when we said it’.
Aka, (just like the rest of em) you can never trust anything they say, or believe what they say they are going to do, they are ALL the same…

(Got to say incidentally …even Franglais feeble attempt to discredit Farage, did everything to prove that point, even though that was not his motive or intention. #backfired :joy:)

So yeah this is deffo going to have an adverse effect, rather than a positive one…as you suggested.

Dont ask me for an alternative to get things going better… or to fill their (imaginary) black hole.
I dont know, and that is why I get paid to drive a truck instead of living my life on somebody elses money as a govt member.

Someone sent me this.
Just had to post it.
It just about says it all.

You have to laugh at these 'kin lefty lib morons.
All gobby and commited on the face of it, but when called out …they are all wind and pi55.

Get my drift?
I actually do hate and detest these types now…
It kinda makes me some kind of an ‘ist’ (again) I suppose …a ‘leftyoonyIST’ I reckon. :joy:
Yep ‘out and proud’ as a ‘Leftyloonyist’ …or LL Rob :sunglasses: a bit like LL Cool J. …
Hey got it… LL Cool Rob :joy:

In the meantime in my home town the ‘‘Real and Genuine people’’ here who have enough spare room, (one has a caravan in the garden) are still opening their homes here to the ‘‘Real and Genuine’’ refugees…from the Ukraine, (women and children btw, not young fit men)

Nice people in fact, who have all fully integrated into the local community and society with enthusiasm…whilst their men are fighting for their country.

2 of my own little grandaughters and my little grandson have befriended some of their kids in fact…he’s even got his little mate following Newcastle Utd.:joy:…thats ma boy.

And there lies the differences on many levels.
The brainwashed morons and freeloading human trash on one side. (both parties with an agenda)

Good real people (without any agenda) and actual ‘refugees’ on the other whose only agenda is to stay safe until they can return home…all totally welcome.

As you say ^^^ all wind and ■■■■■ All very nice in theory world as you protest from Suburbia, but ask them to actually interact with/house/ or hang out with them after dark and their arses fall out.

Puke inducing

Yep absolutely.
Just have a clock at the comments after the vid, what people think of these imbeciles.:joy:
The best one is that knob who turns his back, dismissing the guy saying…‘I’m only here to protest against the Far Right mate’…kin deluded.

I once picked up our little lad from school, and whilst waiting for him to come out, I got talking to one of the ladies who had took in a young mother and 2 of her kids from Ukraine…who had got a job in a shop, .so was unable to pick her little boy up herself.

I kinda know her a bit through my daughter, and she knew the little lad was mates with mine.
I actually said to her… ‘I think it’s very commendable what you are doing’’ (tbf she is quite well off and a bit ‘posh’)

She looked at me in a very matter of fact way and said… ‘Well these people needed help’'.
She told me they had all became good friends and the Ukranian girl regularly helped her out around the house …gratitude.

I took the plunge and asked her if she would have given a home to those characters who just wander around the town all day.
She said ‘I would for a woman and her children again yes, but you only see those men who are not real refugees’.

So an absolute not easily conned realist as well as a nice person…(but maybe ‘Far Right’ according to those 'kin balloons.)

Then the little lad Timor , came out with my little boy, both good mates and as happy as Larry.

As opposed to one of my Great Aunts and her very young child who would have been my Aunt.
Did they run or could they have even run from the bombing of London in WW2 while their Father was away doing war service.
Their names are on the Willesden New Cemetery civilian war dead memorial.

That’s preety bad mate, it must have been terrible to live there at that time…but what’s your point?

I’m sure things in those days were very different, in terms of options and opportunities, and that if it was at all possible your relatives would have went somewhere safer, but evidently it wasn’t.

The 3 Ukranian young families in my home town did have that opportunity, and quite rightly grasped it in order to save their young kids, who were likely to die otherwise…just as I would if it was my wife and kids.

Unless you are suggesting they should have stayed put in a war zone, just because previous generations in another war, another time, and another country were not lucky enough to have that option…
surely not.

Lock your house doors and windows, and be careful after dark on the street.
Watch out for more news reports outside jails, …celebrating ex cons laughing at the govt, spraying champagne like winning formula 1 drivers…as last time.

Just been announced another 1100 prisoners to be released early, including apparentlly, a guy put in there for domestic violence…whose Mrs is reported now to be terrified at the prospect of his release.

So more room for Starmers FB contributors, and his ‘Far Rights’ who dont agree with his policies.
So the FB crew apparentlly are more dangerous than Mr Wifebeater in his vest…oh yeah and that Welsh newsreader paedo piece of sh still walks free a very wealthy man.

And another prison place also became free this week, when a 61 yr old first ‘offender’ jailed for carrying a placard and shouting in an offensive manner, died in his cell.

At least there will be now 2 spare places for the frenzied attack Manchester Airport thugs, when the authorities can be arsed to put them on trial…aye right.

Another ill thought out farce by our motley crew of a government.

Also available from other news outlets if anyone has a problem with The Standard.

Stupid Labour Government.
They have had over three months and still haven’t built another couple of thousand prison places!

Some common ground.

No neither in those 3 months have they provided temporary prisons for the time being as a much better altetnative…as Ann Widecombe did when she was ‘Minister for Prisons’ or whatever.

What about that puropose built barge in Dorset for your ‘‘irregular’’ :joy: immigrants?
That aint been used anymore…afaik.

What about ex military camps…the ones that your type said were not high enough standard for the illleg…(sorry, irregular :joy:) immigrants?

Those hotels even, …that aren’t hotels :joy: in your bizzare opinion, (I’m STILL laughing at that one  )
I would prefer Jack the lag even to have a few perks,.rather than Ali the parasite.

There are many temporary moves they could have done, instead of letting cons out willy nilly…even in 3 months, I mean it just took them days/weeks to jail Karen and Tracey off FB.
