So he’s paid back SOME of his freebies, so that makes it all fine…we can all move on and leave him alone.
Err no, don’t think so.
After being adamant that he/they had done ‘nothing wrong’, he now hands some of it back, so he obviously knows it is wrong, morally if not illegal.
He’s just totally incapable of ‘reading the room’ aint he.
Tbf most of us are grown up and streetwise enough, to know that this sort of stuff goes on in all walks of life…bribery and corruption, it makes the world go round.
But It’s the self righteousness,.and his/their self stated comparison to the Tories, …we aint like that, attitude that pi55ed most of us.
Also why has he not handed back all of it, ie the majority of it.
It’s a bit like winning a prize bundle and making a gesture of giving some to charity, you give away the cuddly toy and the tea bag holder, and keep the 50’’ tv and the free holiday.
Anyway we’ve had the clinicised version from the BBC, let’s hear a straight talking version of events.
Sorry if the ‘Labour bashing’ is tedious and incessant mate, and I know exactly what you mean, we have had the almost daily ‘tedious and incessant’ Tory Govt bashing from Franglais from gawd knows how many years.
So I just thought I’d take it upon myself to pick up the ‘Tedious Baton’ and redress the balance a bit.
So bear with me…at least until I get totally bored with it all.
Funny …still little criticism of the present Govt from our Political authority and correspondent,.despite all the f.ups and incompetence displayed by them. https://images.app.goo.gl/WC2HT5Q1nwLSDzh27
He’s trawling the archives for more Tory dirt to deflect the situation no doubt.
I thought at least with Starmer trying his to get us back in the EU (by stealth and through the back door) in all but name, would at least have him jumping about and screaming like a Washington Redsox teenage cheerleader. https://images.app.goo.gl/b5xL6fsq8H8nEZX4A
We had an election, the expected winners did in fact win, they’re now in charge of the country and people are slagging off them, particularly their leader.
Tell me how this differs from any other election result over my (and by my calculations, probably your) lifetime?
In other news:
Right wing commentators, employed by a right wing radio show, owned by a right wing foreigner, talking to other right wingers, all agree that a left wing party leader is not doing what they want!
It doesn’t,.and normally I would not bother my arse…but seeing as Franglais has rubbed me up the wrong way with his insults, know it all smartarse attitude and pomposity, over the last few years conststantly slagging off the Tories, in a ‘I told you so’ style…Not to mention the classic line of …‘Labour wont be as bad’, I just take it as my mission to get him to just shut the ■■■■ up and shoe him to be not as quarter as clever as he thinks he is.
Childish?..Yeah.
But who cares.
Am I impartial? Nope.
I do have views, and have never said that I am otherwise.
Is the stuff I link to impartial?
Some of it is and some of it isn’t.
I do try to link to factual stuff however. I try to back up any opinion with the reasons for forming that opinion.
Very often I have been accused of slagging off various people.
On some occasions I have passed no comment at all. I have pointed to some facts, and the readers of those posts have formed their own views of what is “right” or “wrong” about what I linked to…And those do not always agree with their previous views.
There is ample opportunity here for anyone to post about all of the brilliant upsides of Brexit, for instance.
Why not spend some of your time proving me wrong in my view that Brexit has been a thoroughly bad thing for the country?
Thing is it’s so easy to instantly write off a news source, and point out it’s particular political leanings just to instantly close down a debate…especially if the content is uncomfortable to tge person doing it.
But does it matter what those leanings are if the report is actually accurate?
By the same token the same channel used to regularly slag off the Tories when in power…maybe not as much as Franglais though.
There is also ‘ample opportunity’ in fact more than ample for you to criticise the f/'ups this govt are doing, as you did the last one…that is the whole point.
Play a little game with yourself for a minute…pretend all this cluster ■■■■ of stuff is down to Johnson,.and see what you come back with.
Also because ‘Brexit’ no longer exists,it was a concept of about 7 years ago.
The status quo is we are an independent (from Mainland Europe) nation.
The rest of us are dealing with it, fully aware it is not in the form that we wanted granted, but nevertheless just getting on with it.
Whilst you (particularly you) and people like you continue to perpetuate the petulance.
At least my posts are impartial.
If some individual, body, party or company I once favoured turn out to be a crock of sh, I will admit I was wrong…
Cos I’m man enough to do so and not some pseudo bravado weasel sat behind a keyboard who would not be half as brave in real life.
That phrase was NOT an accident btw…honest
This week James Cleverly has slagged off the Starmer Gov for their handing back the Chagos Islands to Mauritius.
It was he started the negotiations and said he expected this outcome a couple of years ago.
Now those are the facts. Anyone can check on them.
Anyone can make their own minds up about whether that is good or bad behaviour by Cleverly.
Funny you should mention ‘asylum seekers’, turns out all the sh we are unofficially importing aint just criminals and potential terrorists, but also disease risks.
Take no notice though…right wing news source, posted on you tube by Herbert, totally untrue.
There is only you who is prioritising on Tory v Labour point scoring.
The rest of us realise, and are not naive enough to know, as I have often said that basically they are all much the same.
The islands are strategically valuable in military terms, and whoever of whatever party decided it was a good idea is wrong.
Both Russia and China will be all over this like you on a speech by Johnson.
Starmer is a tyrannical traitor, how dare he do this without any discussion or vote in Parliament. What next gift the Falklands away? I detest this fool and he has even said he is happy to be unpopular! He has been unpopular his entire life by the looks of it, other than his boyfriend Lord fagalot
Has he not already not ruled out handing the Falklands over?..is that grammar btw.
Shame on him if he even considers it after all the British lives lost in 82.
I would put nothing past him, he is capable of anything imo.
I find it hard to watch any news source where the presenter starts going off on a rant even before the guest is introduced. These links from robroy are just unwatchable to me.
I agree that Starmer probably needs a private box for security reasons. Meanwhile some fella called Bill something or other sat in the stands watching the Villa/Munich game. He apparently didn’t warrant a private box
