i wish disco was mine but its my landlords i have picked up a renault megane coupe for £250 on a 02 plate  and a t reg focus for £100 my driveway is getting full lol

I have a 2.2 petrol b vectra on a 2001 plate. 147,000k, automatic + sport mode. Just click the button and plant my foot. cost me £250 and goes like the proverbial excrement of a spade. Comfy, massive boot, heated seats, autochanger etc. What’s not to like? Bought it from my father in law who got it from an auction.

Cheap cars/bangers can be massive fun. My first car was a 1.0 mark 2 Fiesta. Underpowered, 4 gears = great fun. I always wish I could have a garage full of all my old cars

Most of my cars since 1998 have been sub £500, not out of choice mind, just need a car to get me to work, then I get bored etc.

Had a Mazda RX-7 that stood me at £150 a few years ago, that was amazing fun.

Current car cost me over a grand, but no idea on it’s value now, 171 thousand miles makes most people run for the hills

Prior to this though, I had a Nissan Tino 2.2Di that cost me £260, an Audi A6 estate that cost £285, A Peugeot 306 cabriolet that cost £185… Not going to list all as I’ve had well over 100 cars now and I’d say at least 90 of them were sub £500

Probably 1 of my best was a Nissan Sunny 2.0d with 10mths mot and 5mths tax and a full tank of diseasal that I gave my boss £200 for to get it out of his way, 5 door, leccy’s all round, alloys etc and only 35,000 miles on the clock. Bargain.

well my mg zs went throu mot after new handbrake and windscreen now owes me £450 including buying it

i had a gander on facebook this morning and bought this for £100 with 4 months tax and no mot

If you decide to break the focus I may be interested in the headlights. providing they aint gone opaque like mine.(on a T plate estate) PM me if u decide to break and let me know how much you want for the lights…cheers

Take it you have traders insurance? Is it hard to get these days . Used to mess about buying and selling and tinkering with cars years ago and had it then. I was told it’s a lot harder to get these days.

What is a cat c

Insurance repair that has been written off and repaired it the needs to have a full mot some bits done before it can go back on the road

Cat C needs an MOT plus a VIC check
Cat D just needs V5 applying for

My car is a cat C . Brilliant, one of the best cars I’ve had. 1999 Seat Toledo LSI.11OBHP Turbo diesel. Basically a Golf.
Got loads of spec, brilliant on fuel, drives superbly. 0nly 95000 miles. I did 35000 myself in it and never skipped a beat.

Thank you for the info :grimacing:
